It's pretty fun. It's whole appeal is that it is a monster of the week show, but it's a really well done one
Also the references are done by people who have actually played games and thus know what the fuck they're talking about.

This. Haven't had so much fun with a cartoon in a while. Characters are cute, on-model art style is appealing, it's actually moving, and let's not forget about "Oh, nerds". The cheesiness just makes it better.
