Because nobody gives a shit about Hector.
real facts did anyone actually care about the PS2 Castlevania games?
I do. They were so-so as far as the actual games went but they had some of Yamane and Kojima's absolute best work.
Plus I have a soft spot for all those generic PS2 action games like the Dororo one, that one with Gackt, Chaos Legion etc.
I liked Lament of Innocence, still play it every once in a while. CoD I didn't play as much in but the devil forging mechanic was cool.
I agree
the fuck are you talking about?
>Because he dares betray our lord and savor Dracula-sama! Isaac-kun is so pure and righteous! Fuck those guys that won't let him bring his literal demon army to the town!
Because he is a good guy and not important enough for people to complain and Westerners hate objectively good people when it is non political.
He's a fucking white male
Hector is Pathetic, in Curse of Darkness he could fight on his own, here he is useless.
He was fueled by revenge in CoD because Isaac got his Waifu burned at the stake as a witch. I’m waiting for the vengeance and hatred to burn away his weakness, probably when Lenore dies at Isaac’s hand or something since Isaac is bringing an army along.
I never played the games so you're free to disagree from a fan point of view but nothing the show did seemed like disservice to me. It's an adaptation, it's free to take liberties and IMO the original content in the series has been pretty decent.
You can hope the writing is tearing up down so it'll be more cathartic once he uncucks himself
Because he's voiced by Chad
Wake me up when they get to Simon and they royally fuck him up, then I'll care.
>he's got that big resonant heroic voice that immediately makes me hate him
Ellis, you are an old fucking man. When are you going to get past the edgy, angsty teenager phase?
someone post the webm where lenore beats his ass
i need it
I did.
Lament has a lot of fans, despite being more of a slog to go through and Curse has its fans due to having the best gameplay of the true non-sidescroller Castlevanias. Plus both had fan-fucking-tastic music.
Its Castlevania 64 that probably has few if any fans.
Look, Hector wasn’t exactly an alpha male character. Most of what we liked was actually just him creating more friendly monsters by killing evil ones he created in the past, and his cute relationship with Julia.
He only has to kick ass by the time of Curse actually starting.
>in Curse of Darkness he could fight on his own
He had to steal the power back from Isaac and Dracula’s monsters one by one to do it.
Like Soma, he fights with conquered power and pets.
Because he's a literal anime gayboy
Imagine, Isaac kills Lenore in season 4 and Hector gets mad af, in season 5 Hector finaly finds Isaac and goes full beastmode and an epic rimix of this starts playing
youtube.com
This is the average Netflix watcher.
Sounds shit
>Hector goes nuclear and kills Lenore and some of the other bitch vampires
I will now watch your show
Assuming this is quoted verbatim, why does Ellis talk like such a queer?
due to liberals, white straight men are not allowed to be potrayed as smart, masculine, strong or heroic because that triggers feminists and minorities who believe in their "white men bad, women and minorities strong" superiority complex
>he's got that big resonant heroic voice
He does?
>that immediately makes me hate him
Why?
Man, I'm not a comic books guy but does everything this guy says is always that fucking stupid?
Trevor and Alucard are both white.
>imagine being this insecure
not an argument
Alucard isn't straight
Trevor is brown as fuck And Alucard took it up the ass while crying like a little bitch.
Are you sure you have the fucking names right. Trevor is whiter than Hector is
>imagine we still haven’t moved past curse of darkness in season fucking five
Damn, what year will we live to see the series adaptation of Simon’s adventures?
Trevor is portrayed less intelligent and competent as the magic girl and Alucard is now gay who cries all the time.
Only people with intelligent, strong, competent or masculine personalities are women or black
imagine being a simp who doesn't see how hateful his political party has become but then see a russian conspiracy everywhere to explain president trump or brexit
Netflix Hector and Isaac are lame ass wannabe Devil summoners. They all would get styled on by any MegaTen MC.
You say as trevor beats a werewolf to dead with his bear hands
There's a 50/50 chance they'll do Simon, or just skip straight to SOTN.
At least they don't have to bargain with their demons
In Hector's profile from the games it says he was considered to be one of the strongest under Dracula, in the prequel manga we also learn that he was the one Dracula tasked with dealing with Trevor and co. and defeats Isaac despite being injured and stripped of his powers. He was always supposed to be a badass and a capable warrior even without the aid of his monsters. He's a pretty far cry from Soma's situation
yes, but he had the will to go and acquire those powers. in the netflixvania, he is a will-less simp.
Won't they adapt the Rondo of Blood at least briefly before SoTN?
Leveling the demon bros in curse was great, and people say lament of the innocents was good too
When will they introduce Death to the plot?
I almost believed that Hector, in his anger, would turn around and come up with some scheme to get revenge and become closer to the Hector from the games, but season 3 ruined that. Netflix Hector is too much of a naive, braindead weenie to ever be able to become anything more than someone else's bitchboi.
Sounds like some self inserters wet dream. Cringe
user, are you implying that all the Hector posting has been anything but self-inserts?
it was my first Castlevania game so I've always had a soft spot for Hector, I get the feeling I'm not gonna enjoy season 3...
I mean, who wouldn't want to be enslaved by a hot vampire mommy?
You most definitely are not. Unless you're a sub fetishist. In which case your dick will be raw for a good while.
Isaac will kill his waifu and hector will kill isaac
>Hector forges an army of devils the whole season
>at the moment they're about to march on *random town* he orders them to tear the vampire army to shreds
Hector literally gets to gets a big bed, a big room and gets to work doing what he likes. In exchange he has to fuck the best girl in the show and not betray her. That's it.
>To die at the hands of a victim of a femdom with Stockholm syndrome.
Isaac deserves better.
that doesn't sound like he's going on a bloody quest to murder the ones responsible for the death of his wife nor does it sound like he's devil-forging a bunch of demon pokemon
so as a fan of the game it sounds real bad
In the cartoon, are Hector and Isaac the only Devil Forgemasters in history? That has always seemed like a stupid piece of lore to me, and inconsistent with the game itself.
Like I said, if you're a sub fetishist, you'll like this Hector. Otherwise you'll be pissed off waiting for him to grow a spine and a brain.
>so as a fan of the game it sounds real bad
Hits the nail on the head for the whole fucking series.
thanks, I got other stuff to watch so it's good to know I'm not missing much
The series says and shows that Isaac and Hector are not the only ones. Their gift is rare. During Isaac’s arc in season 3, they showed us the old hermit Miranda with the same gift.
In the game they were said to be the only humans, and they both learnt in Dracula's castle so maybe it was an art reserved for immortals only, the human connection thing is something from the Netflix series only
In the show there have more been mentioned, the author of the book Saint Germain found and the old lady Isaac talked before fighting Legion had a tattoo with the same symbol Hector wore in his armor (also I remember her saying something like she and Isaac were colleagues or something?)
