Toonami, particularly Dragon Ball Z.

There was never exactly a "peak" era, Cartoon Network has always been in the shadow of Nickelodeon.

Late 90s, early 2000s

Summer 2006. After that it died along with Nick.

Truly the kino years were from
1998 - 2006.

Remember Cartoon Network flash games?

I fucking hate Scrappy

But of course.

I don't understand that. He was the brave one

>the old CN flash layout

GOD BRING IT BACK

>carries your network

It peaked in the mid-2000s up until the early 2010s when CN was starting to go through the CN Real phase.

1997-2004.

I've seen some Gen Zers unironically claim the live action eras of CN and Nickelodeon were the golden ages. So now I just think it means "era you grew up with"

So late 90's cartoon cartoons for me

>I've seen some Gen Zers unironically claim the live action eras of CN and Nickelodeon were the golden ages.
there's no fucking way

It comes down to when you were born.

You now remember this exists.
You now realize that the BGM is the Thong Song.

Jesus fuck, first TV I was allowed to watch, and even then I thought it was shit

>when did CN peak?
when I was an impressionable young twat, then in highschool I discovered anime only to find out later that anime is shallow and an even bigger lost cause, then I went back on cartoons and I've been watching Steven Universe since..

Is that true user?

I refuse to believe that. 2009 was the dark year for CN. So bad that Adventure Time survived and thrived purely by not being like anything that came from that.

>I’ve been watching Steven Universe since..

The golden age was definitely over by 2007, which is when the Dark Times started. Live action shit with child actors, reality shows, and terrible flash / toonboom animated garbage from Canada started flooding in in the late 00s. It was so bad that even the faggy pastel likes of Adventure Time was hailed as a renaissance despite it being a pale shadow of truly great shows of 10 years ago.

Yeah, I usually cite Out of Jimmy’s Head being the first step of CN’s Dark Age.

Adventure Time at least enjoyed a dedicated fanbase until the end unlike the "golden age" cartoons whose viewership quickly tapered off in the later seasons.

I'm not seeing how a "dedicated fanbase" is a positive thing. It's just an obnoxious group of obsessives that ruin online discussion of the show for everybody with their ridiculous "head canons" and endless shipper wars. The fact that the golden age was largely spared this form of lunacy is why it's remembered so fondly.

stop refering to your rose tinted nostalgia as "golden age" you gigantic spergs.

Sorry but the late 90s and early 00s were objectively the best era. More memorable shows came out of it than any other time period for CN. The bulk of the 00s is a fucking wasteland of forgettable trash and shit that I hope becomes lost media.

but it was, that's just the reality of the situation

why would i press either one?

Bait

Disgusting.

Dedicated fans mean the show still gave people reasons to watch it.

You rarely see anybody who remembers the later Dexter's Lab, The Power Puff Girls, Ed Edd n Eddy, and Johnny Bravo seasons fondly. In fact, they'll pretend they never existed.

If you don't both buttons get pressed.

no they wont, you're just trying to press my buttons arent you user?

I don't know anyone who thinks the later seasons of Ed Edd N' Eddy are flat out unwatchable, just lower quality.

dont worry DCSHG will save the network

Believe in Esteban

It died when my grandmother died. I'd always watch cartoon network at her house cuz my parents would only have me watch educational shit at home

I know it's not nostalgia because I think 30s/40s Loony Tunes and Tom&Jerry is way better than all the cheap Hanna Barbera shit that came after them

Attached: 376547367674.png (262x286, 81.37K)

for me, it's CN City

I was such a stupid little kid, I couldn't complete any level of this.

I remember playing that Courage TV game all the time.

I'd press the green on in an instant

Losing Samurai Jack, Billy & Mandy and Teen Titans would hurt but the red side has better shows all around

Season 2 and 3 of Johnny Bravo were the best ones though

Imagine believing this, they made Johnny retarded and introduced pointless characters like Carl.

about 97 to 07

Reminder that Jim Samples caused Cartoon Network's decline, not Stuart Snyder.

He got rid of the 90s Cartoon Cartoons and replaced them with flat-out mediocre shows like Camp Lazlo, Puffy AmiYumi, Squirrel Boy, and My Gym Partner's a Monkey, took down classic cartoon blocks like Toonheads and Late Night Black & White, was the original pusher of live-action on CN with Re-Animated, and pushed Fred Fredburger to become CN's mascot.

Oh god, the "Yes" era. That was the worst.

really cn could have made its most popular golden age shows go on forever like nick does spongebob but is just too risk averse

I still think it's a shame we never got that Ed Edd n Eddy feature film. If only the Powerpuff Girls Movie wasn't a flop...

At least you got a movie retard, movies for Courage and Cow and Chicken were considered, but didn't happen. Be grateful Edfag.

better no movie. I was a ppg fan and the movie disappointed, it could have been the series culmination but we got a background story

Manchildren deserve death

How did Cartoon Network go from this...

TO THIS??

Powerhouse was the Best Time
City was just as Good but not better.
2007 was the beginning of the end
Noods was the decline but there were still goods shows like Batman:Brave and the Bold and Adventure Time, Alien Force, Star Wars, Secret Saturdays.
Check It was when it went to shit but there were still a few good shows like Young Justice, Gumball, Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Sym-Bionic Titan.
Dimensional was just shit. OK KO was the only redeeming quality this era has so far.

Why do many CN creators look so fucking disgusting? Ian JQ, Rebecca Sugar, Kyle Carrozza, pic related etc...

Don't they do any quality control over these people?

Attached: 1523717719095.jpg (1024x651, 373.72K)

Don't you DARE badmouth Camp Lazlo.

Liberals

Cartoon cartoons era

It's not like their visage is being used for widespread appeal like actors, so why make an issue over it? Also
>implying you look any better

It really has become less of a bastion for unique and creative shows and more of a place to dump safe and cookie cutter baby shows. CN might as well make some sort of CN Jr. If they insist on pumping out shows to just sit a toddler in front of for a few hours.

It's zoomershit and part of the dark ages of Cartoon Network.

>Don't they do any quality control over these people?
so what, its not important in animation. They are not salesmen, supermodels, actors
