I had a friend in high school that was adopted, and then a couple years later his adoptive parents had a biological son. Thing is, it was totally by mistake. The mother was already like 43 when she had him and the kid....well he didn't have down syndrome, but he was still majorly fucked up. The crap Morrison wrote was him misremembering the story Son of the demon from 1987, where Talia and Bruce had consensual sex, Talia got pregnant and later told Bruce she lost the child because he was almost getting himself killed trying to protect them. Talia gave birth to their son in secret and gave him to an orphanage to protect him.
Morrison's version is the retcon and it has since been retconned to resemble the original version again.

See Jarro was last seen helping Batman punch Apex Lex in the face, but he wasn't with the League when the Quintessence whisked them away from Perpetua and sent them through a doorway to a timeline that will apparently resolve all contradictory timelines and give them a shot at beating Perpetua by restoring the faith lost by Earth's populations somehow. As far as I can tell, the answer is that he's NOT with the JL anymore because they basically opted out of the Perpetua Wins timeline but MAY become part of the JL again once the JL arrive to the events of Dark Nights: Death Metal which has Perpetua in it.

Also apparently in like 6 issues Wonder Woman will be confronting the Phantom Stranger in her solo and the JL themselves will be facing the Spectre in about 5 issues so who knows, maybe more answers will come from the Quintessence members. Or maybe you know, editorial told Snyder to hurry up and end his event before they realised 5G wasn't happening anymore.
