I liked Why So Blue a fair bit for Lapis, but at this point you can't really make her arc smooth without literally adding in more episodes between CYM and the start of Future to make the change seem more natural and also a flashback showing the moment she decided to suck it up and come back to Earth.

Wonder if we'll get those moments in future SU content. We know Rebecca's not done with the franchise by a long shot.
