Wonder Woman #753
Andrew Stewart
Grayson Myers
Nathan Cox
Asher King
Dominic Diaz
We don't use the term "alpha female", we use "HBIC"
Jeremiah Diaz
Evan King
Julian Powell
Henry Ross
I'm enjoying the numerous team-ups in this run.
Jaxon Diaz
If Orlando can't write the main book, maybe he could do a Sensation Comics team-up book
Elijah Brown
Hi, Not-Storm
Wait what?
Jacob Martin
Justin Brown
Back in the 70's when the main WW book was back on Earth-Two, there was a Nazi villain called Armageddon, Orlando made an OC who's the granddaughter I guess of that version.
Lucas Morris
Maybe it's time to read some Warlord...
Andrew Cooper
Ryder Taylor
Levi Howard
Fuckin Red Sox fans
Easton Gray
Man I missed Deva. Great villain. I might have to post Luke's run.
Adrian Davis
Ladies, you can't fight in here, this is the War Room
Jonathan Anderson
I love that Diana just has pictures of her pals on the wall, not gay at all
Jayden Phillips
One of Yas Forums's old favorite comics waifus, the cosmic Amazon Maxima
Thanks for reading, folks.
Jayden Hughes
Thanks for the storytime
Sebastian Cooper
I love how Orlando is taking advantage of Diana being retconned back into the Golden age and treating her entire publishing history as in continuity. It's really sad he's leaving.
Luke's run is underrated. And I'm glad they directly reference Diana giving Deva some of her blood at birth.
Paula Doesn't consider herself one of the Horsewomen. Interesting.
Great to see Donna and Cassie get mentioned
Angel Reed
No. That's the Nu52 lesbian teen Maxima. Not the "I will rape you, Superman" Maxima
Julian Jenkins
My headcanon was that Deva and Genocide were the same person (even though Genocide is explicitly an alt version Wonder Woman). They're very similar design wise.
Jack Bell
Why is Orlando leaving? He actually uses her villains, please!
Jackson Kelly
When was the last time anyone saw Maxima?
Sebastian Taylor
WONDER WOMAN IS FIGHTING DRAGONS AGAIN?
Fucking hype. I really need to catch up on my DC.
Nicholas Gutierrez
I’d be down.
Parker Green
So Mariko Tamaki can do a movie synergy story with Maxwell Lord.
I'd say if we're lucky it'll just be six issues and Orlando will be back, but it would only be for about four issues before the "5G" relaunch, so we'll also need luck for "5g" not to upend the current continuity.
Samuel Sanders
Her future doesn’t look good.
Chase Davis
Yeah, I'm pretty bummed about it. He had said that #750 was setting up his next year of stories, so this was definitely a pretty sudden change.
I'm not very excited for Tamaki, this feels like a really shortsighted move and I don't see her run lasting more than a couple arcs if the last few runs are anything to go by. Editorial seems to really not want a longterm writer for this book.
Eli Jackson
F for orlando
Jason Sanchez
>Lesbian Maxima
>not Pansexual Maxima
Ridiculous.
Ian Edwards
Sucks Orlando is leaving, his current run on the book is the best it's been during this whole Rebirth run. I was refreshing after the unremarkable dullness of Wilson.
Nicholas Hernandez
Well, I figure I may as well post the solicitations for rest of Orlando's current run so we can speculate.
>WONDER WOMAN #754
>Just when she thought her troubles were over, Wonder Woman is thrust into a new adventure that takes her out of this world! Princess Maxima, the former ruler of the planet Almerac, has crash-landed on our hero’s doorstep and is desperate for her help. Maxima’s people are victims of a vicious lie, and only the truth she’s discovered will set them free. With Wonder Woman by her side, can she retake her throne and bring back the planet’s peaceful matriarchal society? Back on Earth, there is no peace…only Warmaster! The vengeful villainess has obtained a weapon of mass destruction that can wipe out the Amazons for good!
Justin Jones
>WONDER WOMAN #755
>“The Four Horsewomen” part one! Paula Von Gunther, a.k.a. Warmaster, has assembled her four horsewomen…and now she’s out for Wonder Woman’s blood! Plus, Diana is put on trial for the sins of the Amazons! Is it all just lies, or is there really a horrible secret the Amazons have kept from their own champion?
Jeremiah Turner
>WONDER WOMAN #756
>With Wonder Woman down, the Four Horsewomen are victorious—and now they set their sights on the rest of the Amazons! Can anyone stop Warmaster from delivering ultimate vengeance upon Wonder Woman’s family?
Jack Bell
>WONDER WOMAN #757
>Warmaster's plot to destroy Wonder Woman's family is nearly complete...but Diana has reunited with her former protege Donna Troy! Are the two of them enough to face the might of the Four Horsewomen? Or is the Age of the Amazons at an end?
Isaiah Parker
>WONDER WOMAN #758
>Wonder Woman puts herself on the line to save Warmaster from an ancient power -- the Phantom Stranger! But Diana is out of her depth, and the Stranger's power knows no limit! Is our hero prepared to break eternal law to save her former friend? Or is the Circle of Eternity's judgment exactly what Warmaster deserves?
And that's it, for now, at least.
Easton Baker
>Genocide
Something tell me they will make her Bizarro but of Wonder Woman or Anti-Wonder Woman
Luis Moore
i could be remembering this wrong but i recall Orlando saying he doesn't like being on monthlies and prefers to do minis and guest writing. i could be wrong.
Hunter Gonzalez
Haha, time for more lesbians! I love how this book is just full of hot women.
Samuel Wood
Her villains are shit though...
Brody Ortiz
Cucka fans getting serviced at least. Enjoy it while it lasts.
Jacob Harris
No, they just need to be used and developed, not replaced with cast JLI supporting characters turned bad for crappy reasons.
Nicholas James
t. has never read Wonder Woman
Ryan Wilson
Yeah, pretty sure most people have read an issue, then forgot.
Oliver Sullivan
reminds me of the last year or so of simone when she just kept doing team ups
Wyatt Carter
Seriously, her rogues have potential... Writers just need to try.
Remember Mr. Freeze was a shit villain before Paul Dini wrote Heart of Ice
Jaxson Martin
Tough luck though, Diana isn't named Batman so her corner of the universe doesn't matter to editorial.
Dominic Jenkins
Yo this is the first issue I read and this seems mediocre as fuck, if this is the state of WW's comic then yikes.
Asher Wood
people are mostly just happy that someone's using characters from older runs and books that aren't all greek myth related, or new gods.
Joshua White
I'd love to see Duke of Decption make a comeback
Kayden Parker
"fan" service is not a substitute for quality
Bentley Bell
>bringing past one-and-done OCs is now valid
and yet I bet you'd throw a bitch fit if First Born appeared again
Anthony Adams
>that aren't all greek myth related
Joseph Peterson
Devastation is greek myth related
Nicholas Price
Nice issue, how much do ya'll wanna bet the Iron Maiden is going to join the Horsewomen?
Benjamin Mitchell
Valda got sent randomly to somewhere else in time space, so not likely.
Adrian Hill
Depends. Might give them an opportunity to salvage more of the Azz run, and changing the reason the gods set up holodeck Themyscira and Olympus from "distracting diana so she wouldn't go home" to "making decoys to fool Firstborn"
Yes, but unlike Ares, and Circe, who are the actual characters of Greek Mythology Deva is an original character based of Greek Myth. She's an anti-Wonder Woman, created by Cronus to oppose the Olympians.
Armageddon is a legacy villain, the granddaughter of a foe from the 70's Earth two/WWII era run, and also made an appearance during a time travel story in the Jimenez run.
Helen Paul/Paula von Gunther is also likely be revealed to be a descendant of the original Paula Von Gunther, and is empowered the the Valkyrie Gudra, another golden age foe.
Genocide is from Simone's run, a future undead version of Wonder Woman from a bad possible future pulled back in time.
We like Orlando because he's able to dig deep into her lore and continuity.
