What are your thoughts on the series so far? Any hopes for season 3?

For sure there'll be a season 3. Looking forward to it. I actually liked the second season more than the first. I can't recall many shows that I felt that way about.
Solid first season.
Fantastic second season.
Not sure what the except from S3 considering the anthology format, but I'm hopeful that it'll delve a bit into the Apex stuff. If not that season, then that one-hour special.
One hour special?
Has everyone pre-ordered their dvd sets?
One-One was really fucking annoying at first but he grew on me.
The person who said season three was in development (former president of the Animation Guild) also mentioned the possibility of a more long-form special on top of the season order.
Lake is one of the best written women in modern cartoons so there's that.
Which One?
I have now
I hope whatever season is the final season will unite Tulip, Lake, Jesse, all of the other protagnists, and resolve Amelia's story.
I hope for season 3 to be the last. You cannot keep making more seasons without running into the risk of BAD WRITING. So far so good, but you cannot keep the winning streak forever.
It's great. Shame no one talks about it.
I feel like people care a lot less about cartoons these days. I remember when the AV Club and other sites would shill the fuck out of shows like adventure time and gravity falls, and they would generate a lot of buzz. Idk, maybe they still do and I've gotten older because the world seemed way simpler when I was 12.
I certainly hope we get a third season. I want see what kind issues the new protagonist will have. I also hope we see Amelia attempting to atone meeting the Apex.
>all these threads for a show that has so few episodes and not even currently airing
We all know why we are here.
Why, yes I do!
mace and sieve are a fucking jojo reference
>So few
20 episodes and 10 shorts is not "few"
>and not even currently airing
Last episode was released a couple of months ago, of course there will still be some discussion about it you dumbfuck.
They aren't tho.
I think this fanbase is just way more chill than many others. Based on the last couple IT threads at least no one seems gets too angry with eachother, even when they disagree, and I never really see IT spam/nonsense on other threads. We all just kindly wait for a new general to form. Perhaps this is not the most direct reasoning since you are referring more to media representation but annoying people tend to attract more attention.

>Two men hunt down an underaged girl on a train
>The more serious ad murdeorus one dies to the train's wheels while hanging on for his life
>The other one proceeds to get serious and decide to avenge him, becoming just as murderous as their ally

>Infinity Train -- HBO Max -- 10 11-minute serialized episodes. There is talk of doing a long-form special.
I don't know, there were a lot of parts of Season 2 that it's really hard to reconcile. How the whole train is this nice, little tidy "yeah, we exist to help people. We just grab people who are having a kind of bad day, give them a nice little trolley ride to the hugs train for them to sort it out. All those not-very-subtle hints you picked up on in Season 1? You were right! And your reward for being right? An exposition dump! And everything being neatly explained in a way that is just way too on the nose. Enjoy!"
I really just feel like the head writer he saw Over the Garden Wall thought "yeah, I want to do that, mysticism mixed life lessons? Easy." And didn't realize how much of it was tied into real life mysticism and symbolism. A blend of mystery, emotion, and life-flashing-before-your-eyes that creeps between the lines of reality and fiction.
Sometimes less is more. And I really wish I understood less about Infinity Train, because it's starting to feel like a middle-schooler's made-up fantasy religion.
>there were a lot of parts of Season 2 that it's really hard to reconcile
Almost like they're clearly planing stuff for future seasons...
Have they announced exactly how many episodes will have an audio commentary on the dvd set?
Post more Lake art.
>HIIII JESSE
I can see your point of view and agree it would be better if the train is not over explained, at least not until the later/last seasons. I mostly see the train itself as a neat setting for stories more than something I really care about the nature/lore of. However, I didn't mind the confirming information especially when, as you mentioned, the purpose of the train is quite clear from the end of season one. I'd rather have the exposition dump than it acting like we don't already know what the train does.
I wonder if she can still do that.
>the thing you like is shit
Classic Yas Forums Postâ„¢
>She learns how to do it again after hours of being left alone in Jesse's basement
>She uses it to explore the outside without being shackled down by others
well a promise is a promise
enjoy
Scary... but also kinda hot. On a less horny note, it would be pretty cool if Lake one day discovered she can still travel through mirrors. Sucks that we'll never get more stories with her and Jesse to play with stuff like that.
I think it is better this way, as much as I'd love to see what happens with them there would be a chance the writers would ruin it.
I think this is enough for now
I forgot to work on my Lake art this week :(
>Lake with hair
Cute!
What are your thoughts on the series so far?
>Book 1
Cute and simple, You look at it once, draw your conclusions and that's it.
>Book 2
In artistic terms is worst, in terms of storytelling it is not very complicated and the end leaves you with a taste of deus ex machina, but Holy shit, it has been so long since I saw a moral conflict like that, a protagonists who genuinely need the to each other and a "Comic relief" who is not only there to tell jokes (I can barely call AlanDracula a comic relief because he is there to calm things down and he doesn't even tell jokes, he is perfect) and the one-one thing if you think it makes sense and could give for more since it could be proof that the train was "scheduled" (i mean maybe was created for someone and He put "rules" but since the conductor is just an AI you can fool him if you try hard enough)
Have some more
>Any hopes for season 3?
I'd love to see a story focused on someone whose life was impacted by The Train's mission, like maybe one of their parents ended up on The Train because of their problems and never came back and that became the root of the protag's own future problems. It'd be neat to explore the unintended consequences of The Train's existence.
... i can't shake the feeling this artist traced the default chick from SDT
This, because shows how there is nothing wrong with receiving help from other people because if they help you you can help others as well
sorry, I hope this rewards you
>Tulip was likely to become a NEET in her future
Lake dodged a fucking bullet in all honesty.
As if Lake could just go to school with Jesse.
Not feeling this one, I think Lake would work better with a pixie haircut.
I gotta disagree. Lake honestly looks good with any hair style. Like her design just works with everything.
>Thoughts on the series so far
Love it!
>Hopes for season three
Finding out why The Apex don't want to get off the train, and finding out if Amelia has any connection with them.
Threadly reminder that The Wasteland is the best cartoon episode of the last 20 years.

>have to be trapped all her life reflecting a Neet who is in home 24/7
>Choose be free to be her own person and end up having a swimmer platonic friend who wil ends up being her boyfriend, you can't fool us Owen
Lake is BASED AF
S2 solved a lot of the issues with S1.
>better paced
Didn't have to explain the mechanics of the train, or otherwise made it implicitly obvious through depiction.
>better use of characters
2 characters + 1 silent mascot is better than 3 characters, especially when two are one-note jokes.
>better antagonists
Lake's existence and freedom were being directly targeted rather than just coincidentally being attacked by proxy. A bullet dodged by not making Jesse the primary protagonist.
they are
I can't really comment on Amelia's situation, but I do have some fan art of what might happen if Tulip, Lake, and Jesse all end up together.
(NOT MY ART, AND IT'S ALREADY BEEN POSTED BEFORE! But, if you haven't seen it in other threads, I'll post it)
If a prime masturbates, are they raping their mirror selves?
If someone commits suicide, is it murder if they kill their mirror self or manslaughter?
3some?
DO IT
Post it.
How many times has Tulip unknowingly raped Lake?
Is it the one where Lake and Jesse look up Tulip online and send her pictures?
This makes me feel bad for my reflection
