Season 3 is the best so far and it's just 6/10.
watch it for the Isaac arc and fanservice

Season one; Ok
Season 2; Someways better someways worse than season one. Feels a bit slow
Season 3; Someways better someways worse than season two. Feels a bit slow. Gay.

Overall is,,,mediocre. Is not epicly bad but is not outstander either, you can watch it, it entertains you has its ups and downs but that's it.

Isaac is a black Muslim
Hector is a joke
Alucard loves cocks up his ass
All main characters hate God and the church

Watch it if you want

>Isaac is a black Muslim
True, but to be fair someway they made Isaac the best part of the show now
>Hector is a joke
So far, yes, but I think there is room for improvement
>Alucard loves cocks up his ass
And now he regrets it

>Isaac is a black Muslim
There's more to him in that and even then, being a gay black muslim is already more interesting than just being gay
>Hector is a joke
He always was
>Alucard loves cocks up his ass
he loves pussy too
>All main characters hate God and the church
Wrong, Trevor hates the Church not god, Alucard and Sypha are neutral.

please tell me these aren't the same creators that are doing the devil may cry show because this show was mediocre.

>Sypha are neutral.
Sypha literally says she fears God because is an asshole. She is fine with Jesus though.

YEP. I HOPE YOU'RE READY FOR MORE WESTERN WOKE K I N O

They are, sorry you had to find out this way. you can temper your expectations now.

>is it good wats the verdict on all the seasons so far

If you like Game of Thrones and don't care about Castlevania, yeah, you'll like it

season 3 felt....unnecessary.
hector and alucard's arc could have been contracted into 1 episode and nothing much would have been missed. isaac's arc too but the discussion with the demon moth was neat. the fight with legion seemed like obligatory fight scene.

sypha and trevor where cute.

unfortunately, the whole season felt like setup with no real progress in the big story. in a netflix show that is not sure to continue, this is bad.

finally, the director never played a castevania game, all his knowledge come from interns, fansites and wikipedia. he is clearly trying to make vampire game of throne and not castlevania. remember season 2 where the heroes spent the season in a library?

Loved it irregardless of what other people say. Made me like Isaac even more.

Well god is very wrathful, but Jesus seems to be more mellow except if your a merchant.

Is that Dracula or Danny Trejo?

If you haven't seen it yet the action scenes make the show worth watching by themselves.

I also like the show's writing but its not for everyone.

I really enjoy it for what it is, but completely understand why it’s not for everyone. For me it feels like a really fun D&D game with friends.

I think it's an entertaining show on top, so my opinion is: 4/5 gaping Alucard buttholes.

Trejucla

Action scenes can be a little disorienting with their lack of frames at times but are otherwise fantastic.
Art style is kinda ugly but grows on you. Sypha a genuinely qt.
Writing is hit or miss, the constant swearing and talk of goat-fucking is pretty cringey but has some legit good comedic and emotional payoffs.
I rate it 9.5/10 for entertainment value alone, as far as actual quality is probably closer to a 6-7/10.

>Thank you for my second life.
>I intend to use it well and make wonderful new dreams of it.

episodes 2 - 7 are absolutely pointless.
they keep almost getting to the big reveal only to postone it to next episode like 5 times in a row.

It's fun. I like how it takes things slow.

Trevor & Sypha vs the church > Issac vs white people > Hector becomes king simp > Alucard loses his butt virginity.

Way too much time spent on woke subject matter.

Hate the twins and found them highly unnecessary. Glad they died.

Anyone else hope they introduce more morally complex Dracula acolytes? I.e they're pro-Dracula but not vicious at heart themselves.

>Alucard has harem
>Loses harem because Alucard isn't allowed to have nice things

The Isaac and Trevor plotlines were good. The Hector and Alucard ones sucked, but were at least hot.

gayer by the season

Do you like Warren Ellis' comics? Then it might be alright for you.

Do you find them cringy like Tucker Stone does? Then it might not be for you.

The writting is a mess, in the sense that its uneven, the parts where characters interact with each other its really nice, I really enjoyed Isaac's conversations with the fly or the captain.
But at the same time it feels that they drag on a lot of stuff just to rush it on the end.

IT also feels sometimes they add things just becase impact value, for example, there was no reason to make the judge a murderer just because in the last moments

Still there is a detail I don't quite get.
Forgemasters take a soul from hell and put them into a body making a monster. That its simple.

But what are the monsters that gone through the corridor like the angel-like creatures? I mean, they are demons (natural from hell dimension)? Or they are as well human souls that became demons in hell?

>we never got a canon Igarashi-era anime

:(

Can't comment on Netflix logic, but in the videogames there's holy-aligned monsters. Basically, even while holy is typically associated with God and primarily used by good forces, it's basically just an element just like fire or water, and not exclusive to them. For instance, in Order of Ecclesia, one of the enemies is a Fomor from Irish mythology that uses holy attacks, yet its bestiary entry is something to the effect of "mocks Christ with blasphemous chanting". It's the same with darkness and evil things. Hell, in Aria of Sorrow, Yoko explicitly tells that Soma that just because his and Alucard's powers are "dark", it doesn't make them evil. It's all down to who wields it.

There's no evidence the monster is actually hitting on him.

Wow it's almost like they want the GoT audience and Ellis is literally making shit up as he goes along.
Of course Yas Forums likes this garbage, it just ticks all the boxes for this shit hole.

I was honestly disappointed with season 3.

The alucard story felt unnecessary and the twist had so little set up it almost felt like it came out of nowhere.

The Sypha Trevor sidequest wasn't too great, i get what they were trying to do. The hellgate just felt like they added a world destroying threat at the last minute.

The Hector story was ok, I just wish there was more Carmilla in it considering she is being set up as the next big bad.

Isaacs story was fantastic, but because he had to share run time with everybody else, his story was not properly fleshed out.

Isaac Saved Season 3.
can't believe they made me care for a Gay Black Suthi Muslim.

It's a solid 7 throughout and peaks around a 8.5 during the more excellent bits.

For me it's
1=3>2

>Isaac is a black Muslim
Anything is better than the Isaac from the games.

>True, but to be fair someway they made Isaac the best part of the show now
Also this

It's a filler/set up season. 90% of it can be skipped and you'd not miss anything for season 4.

I hate how all the characters except maybe two sound the same. They curse in the exact same way, use the same expression, same intonation. Also the voice direction is seriously mediocre. I mean, how the fuck do you waste PETER STORMARE? Godbrand sounded like ass.

All instances of them saying "fuck" sound so out of place and forced. Also fuck whoever decided everyone should whisper everything. Some scenes are mixed so bad with music you need to put captions on just to see everything being said.

>All main characters hate God and the church

Well this is a pleasant surprise!

I hate that the ancient, refined, aristocratic vampires use the same turns of phrase that Trevor does.

Real CV fans play the games, after all. Nothing short of an anime produced in Japan by a big name studio who knows the mythos would suffice.

>DMC 'anime'
FUCK NO

I've heard that Warren Ellis is some big shot writer but I can't see why. Pacing is all over the place, characters who are nothing alike speak the same cringe-inducing dialogue, ass-pulls at the end. Why is he popular again?

Would Trevor punch Danny Trejo in the face? No he would not.

his older stuff and the prefect time period when they came out

From what I've gathered Castlevania fans see it as irredeemable shit.
As for non fans the 1st season is alright the first half of season 2 is boring, the second half is pretty decent and season 3 is alright to mediocre.
A big issues seems to be that Ellis randomly changed the races and sexualities of a bunch of characters for no reason, entire characters were missing or had their personalities changed, the church was depicted as malevolent rather than the mostly benign to benevolent way it was depicted in the games, and basically nothing that happens in season 3 has anything to do with the plot of the games.

There's absolutely no way I can defend this show. The pacing is fucked, the dialogue ranges from godawful to awesome, the plot is so-so and some aspects of the show are so annoying that I want to turn it off.
If you complained about it to me, then I would just shrug and agree.
But, shit, I love this stupid show. I can't defend it at all but I am thoroughly entertained. In some respects it's the show I always wanted.

whoever is in charge of monster designs deserves all the praise they can get

It's a good show, just not a good Castlevania show.

Which character do you guys think will randomly turn gay?

The monster designs are magnificent. They feel real to me. It's hard to explain. But for once, we have a world that makes a real effort to explain the organic LOGISTICS of having one's own monster army.

These things don't just come out of nowhere, they're engineered and crafted.

Season 3/4 should have just been issac/hector finishing curse of darkness so we can move on to another belmont/time skip.

You.

Different writer, same director and studio.

I actually do like Warren Ellis' work but I find his writing in Castlevania mostly weak, with the exception of a few moments.
Probably has to do with the fact that he's writing based on someone else's work, work that he admits to having zero familiarity with.

In fact, anyone else hoping they explore monster creation more? I mean surely there must be limits or else they'd just make a legion of one unstoppable type.

I want to know the details.

>The alucard story felt unnecessary and the twist had so little set up it almost felt like it came out of nowhere.
It was weird because it was at the same time incredible predictable and incredible out of place.
I mean, you could tell exactly where it was going, twins way too interested in moving the castle, but at the same time they didn't seem triggered enough nor Alucard acted specially mysterious as if was hidding thing.
So in the end you are "yeah, I knew this was going here but still makes no sense"

>Isaacs story was fantasti
I disagree, I found it fantastic for the most part, until the last moments. where he suddenly meets a witch that points him towards to a wizard. They gone for a "big end" but the whole flaying town felt weird as fuck And difficult to buy a powerful mage that can make 10 thousand people fly would die so fucking easily. They could have done the exact same thing but a bit more grounded, that last part felt more dumb than cool

in the games you'd start with a base devil type and evolve it/forge it to better forms
