Actually, I was uploading them as I was making the comic years ago to ComicFury and SmackJeeves. I was even amassing a pretty fair following. But like so many of us creative types personal things came up, and I just kind of slowly stopped drawing. I was uploading this comic from 2010 to early 2014, but I knew I wasn't really where I needed to be, so I kind of stopped drawing for about 3 or so years. I'd work on a few things here and there, and during that time a few scattered ideas I had started to come together to become NekomaT.A.
Even when I started this comic I knew I wasn't at where I needed to be, so I didn't start into the comic proper, but I decided to just do some practice chapters based on some backstory ideas I had in my head for the six main characters.
I actually reread it for the first time in years the other day. Some of it is worse than I remember, and some of it is better than I remember, but it is still pretty rough. I also made a lot of really dumb mistakes like big exposition dumps before chapters and stuff. But there is some stuff I like. I generally don't like the idea of going back and redoing old stuff because I think it is a waste of time, but I do want to maybe go back and redraw and rewrite the first chapter of this before I get into the main comic after I finish NekomaT.A....some dy.
M-maybe? She is the tsundere team mom. To honest, and sadly for my coomer fans, this story doesn't have many girls, and I will absolutely not sexualize most of the ones that are there because they are based on people I know, to a degree.
I am an absolute artlet, but decided to get my shit in gear and make that fucking comic. Currently two ""pages"" (or strips if you prefer) in for the prologue. If my motivation keeps up, I'll be releasing this shit not page by page, but by chapters. Starting with the prologue. Considering my "style" is rather cartoony and simple, I'm going for dark comedy vibes. Dark comedy encapsulated in what I just call fantasy mysteries. The general premise goes like this: immortal guy and living black ooze that takes human form solve various strange and often dangerous cases that involve monsters, ghosts etc.

Yeah. Part of why I have been more relaxed about sharing Story of Fire lewds, I realized I won't be able to do that for my next comic. And my next comic is VERY long.

Small update about the Kaiju project. Calling it 'Kaiju Dayz' now and comic work on it is getting paused cause the option of turning it into a cartoon has come up so gonna try for that
Hmm. You're the second person who mentions to me that the text is hard to read. The problem is with the "creepy" font I use for "creepy" stuff, right? I'll switch it out for something more readable for release of the full prologue. Thanks! Also had some time still, so just did page 3. Which includes smug and woof.
Y'know, just gonna throw these out here. Since Abby is 13 and the number 13 is oftentimes associated with spooky shit, let's just.... Fuck it, cut to the chase, here are some monster form ideas.
>Unnamed Kaiju form: Turns Abby into a 30-something long Komodo-like monster. >That Thingy: Looks like normal Abby, but has a bunch of hidden mouths and body horror tentacles. >Abby 2000: Turns Abby into what amounts to a cross between the Terminator and Maschinenmensch >Attack of the Killer Abby: Turns Abby into a plant monster. >Unnamed Bug form: Allows her to turn into a bug monster >Splatterfest: Slasher villain form. >Unnamed Alien form: Turns Abby into a grey alien, ray gun and all.

At my library they are having a mini comic convention. The catch is im not allowed to sell anything..Thinkign of making some more business trading cards to get ppl to check it out online? Give people pizza activity stickers? How to draw comics "the Admiral pizza way" workshop? Any other ideas?
