While the deleted scenes really would have fleshed out some things wrong with the movie, I don't think they would have been enough to fix the clusterfuck we got.
So what other deleted scenes/storyboards/non-animated storyboards have been released/leaked for Frozen 2 and how would they have made the movie better?
>first scene Damn, why wasn’t this in the movie? It sets up Anna being queen perfectly, like she has her parents’ blessing from beyond the grave. Though “joy brings her powers out as strongly as fear” is a bit fucked up. Isn’t this basically saying they purposely kept Elsa unhappy? And the second scene does so much to flesh out the parents too, while creating some mystery. ...I think I retroactively dislike the movie more because these scenes aren’t in it.

There should have been a nude bathing scene

>first scene Just as what said, giving Anna validation from beyond the grave would’ve made her becoming queen better justified. It also adds character to their parents. I don’t really see why they had this scene cut out.
To add on their parents’ character in first scene; it shows that, at least at that point, the parents had enough trust in Anna to eventually tell her about Elsa’s powers. That even though Anna brings just as much out of Elsa’s power as Elsa’s fears and anxiety, they had enough trust that if anyone can help Elsa control her powers, it was Anna.
We barely get anything about the character of the parents.
Overall good scene that could’ve been kept.
>second scene Mostly the same as first on building the parents’ character, though I can see why they decided to take it out. Feels almost redundant.

What I got from the ending >Destroys damn to right a past sin, destroying the city of Arendelle in the process >It’s okay, Elsa’s actually alive and saves the city in a clutch >Clearly, Anna showed that she loved the kingdom enough to be the next ruler from that one action >Meanwhile, Elsa abdicates and goes to live innawoods to appease forest spirits and discover her true self
My guess is probably over a couple hours. Using gradeschool mathematics and retard reasoning, we will attempt to answer this problem. Assuming that the Sven-powered carriage moved at a blistering 3-4 km/h (carriage speed) over a 3 day travel period, taking into account 8 hours of rest every day. that gives a 192 km distance. assuming Nokk is 88km/h av. horse speed, that would give a 2.2 hour travel time for the same distance. However, Nokk is Magic™, so we assume that he can go some 120km/h, giving a 1.6h travel time. And since Nokk seems to be faster than the flood, I’ll assume the flood was at most
I think it got cut because it was way too on the nose and cheesy. Also didn't make sense going on a dangerous voyage if you planned on letting them sort it out between them.
Still think there was cut stuff with the tribal girl that got introduced by name, only to basically only have a single line afterwards and no part in the story. Seems very likely to me she was meant to connect with Elsa but Disney got cold feet about making her unambiguously lesbian. Would also explain why Elsa wanted to stay with the tribe at the end.

>you are now realizing Frozen Fever was about biological warfare between Arendelle and the Southern Isles
>still no explanation of why Elsa got a breast reduction in the sequel

It would be cheesy. But by the end, we’ve earned some cheesiness. Knowing that the late King and Queen had faith in Anna to rule Arendelle would have gone a long way towards easing the transition in the audience’s minds, I think. I know it has for me, but it’s almost insulting that it was cut and we’re left with nothing.

reducing Honeymaren’s lines and screen time hasn’t done much to reduce her fan-gayness if that really was the intention...
Ian Morgan
Yeah, I hated how they cut this scene out to make Anna less important. It's demeaning to Anna's character and it proves that Disney only cares about Elsa.
Brandon Brooks
Yeah, Anna is important as she provides emotional support to Elsa. I hate it when people reduce her to a stupid, useless butt-monkey when that's Olaf's job.
Elsa can still be the protagonist since everyone treats her as such. But Anna's gotta be the deuteragonist.
Not a mere supporting character like Oaken, Gerda, Kai, etc. NADA. I'm not accepting anything less.
Wyatt Johnson
EXACTLY.
Anna doesn't get any genuine respect from Frozen's creators or most of the audience.
I feel that they want her out of the franchise to fawn over Elsa more. Sadly no one cares about Anna.
Heck, people cared more about Honeymaren than Anna.
>hey guys, olaf here, here's some incredibly poignant philosophy from someone with the IQ of a toddler >thanks olaf, I'm sure that this incredible non-sequitur won't be important later
>huh, I guess it was important >weird how that works out
what were the writers thinking?
Julian Sanchez
It really, really sticks out how much of a suspiciously pointless character she is.
David Rodriguez
Lee's a bit of a homeopath. >Uses MBTI for her work in all seriousness >Water has memory >Diagnosed herself with ADHD >Refuses to medicate her daughter who has actually been diagnosed with ADHD
Alexander Rogers
I just tell myself that there must be more in store for her in the future, surely they wouldn't design her, name her and sell dolls of her all for nothing...
They made her to appease the woke crowd who are pleased enough with her ambiguously brown coloring to call her PoC. It's a doubleplusgoodwin for the ones who wanted Elsa to be gay.
>americans grossed out by something practiced by most of the developing world No wonder you guys love spitting in tubes to find out you're 1/29824th Cherokee Irish.

The more I think about the movie the more I dislike it
Noah Roberts
If I was grossed out by it, I wouldn’t be in a Frozen thread

Just one small mistake and Honeymaren gets sentenced to death.
