Winsome Witch was in the Wacky Races reboot
Man, Chattanooga Cats were where it's at...
And yeah, Kitty Jo needs more loving.
Literally whose?
Oh man.
That's some deeep nostalgia.
Why don't they use this shit for Jellystone instead of making some of the characters female
if it wasn't for the lost media thread I would've never remembered Winsome Witch
hell where did she even come from exactly
That's a cute Cat Daphne.
Segment from the Atom Ant/Secret Squirrel Show
well that explains why I only seen her in the racing cartoon
thanks user
Scrappy Doo
In retrospect, it seems odd that Cattanooga Cats never got any Groovie love; I doubt it was that much more obscure than Jabberjaw and Boomerang did occasionally play their songs as interstitial filler.

Heeyy, It's The King is definitely obscure though.
Having a cameo on a shitty reboot doesn't count as not being forgotten otherwise she and the chief from Super Secret Squirrel would be in more stuff.
That would require some research/effort and I doubt C. H. Greenblatt is doing any of those for Jellystone.
She sure is.
Kitty Jo was my first waifu
Thank god for Boomerang
Kitty Jo had a very cute design, she deserved better.
They should use her,Sheena the lion or any of the Swat kats girls on that Jellystone shit.
>instead of making some of the characters female
What other characters aside from Jabberjaw (allegedly) are being turned female though?
Pretty panther
It depends on how much bases the show's attempting to cover, though I would be fine if it goes up to the late 70's/early 80's. Really wish they would bring back guys like Jerry Eisenberg, Willie Ito, or Tony Benedict to at least be advisors on the art direction. I understand that most of them have retired, but it's still unfortunate that the few living members of the old H-B staff haven't gotten involved with this project, at least as far as what's been confirmed.
>I would be fine if it goes up to the late 70's/early 80's.
Sheena is from the early 70s,Kitty Jo is from the late 60s,Ma bear and Floral Rugg are from the mid 60s and Cindy bear is from the early 60s.
So this turning Jabberjaw (from the late 70s) into a girl because there's no more females is just nonsense.
sign me up for cheerleader cat thing
There's been bare minimum confirmed about the show, really. All we know is that it'll be on HBO Max, C. H. Greenblatt is behind it, the few things Greenblatt says, and this picture. It only started production this year, so I don't think anything is really set in stone yet.
I'm down with female Jabberjaw, as long as she still sounds exactly like Curly Howard
Well at least it's confirmed that Cindy would make an appearance still, along with Rugg and Ma's appearances being obvious so we have that to look forward to I guess.
It looks disgusting, Hanna-Barbera would never approve of this if they were alive.
good lord, this is ugly
If it would make them money, they absolutely would.
>Implying
They approved John K making edgy tasteless shorts with Yogi and Jetsons, HB had no limits.
It looks cheap enough to be approved.
>chief from Super Secret Squirrel
But his voice actor is dead and cannot be replaced.
F for Tony Jay. ;_;

Is that rumor still being tossed around with no source?
Yes, but look at Kabong...he's got no guns, there was a rumor about WB banning guns from the new Looney Tunes shorts and thatw as confirmed true by one of the writers.
That was speculation, too, until we got confirmation. And mostly because what would be okay then versus now is always in the conversation. People were still surprised at the guns in LTS.
Hey man just saying I'm glad we still have the other girls amongst the cast. I still agree with you on Jabberjaw however.
Daisy Mayhem needs more love.
I agree with ya user
with all the cartoons I grew up watching, I'm surprised I didn't turn into a furry myself
Except that isn’t the case for me. I didn’t even know this rodent existed.
Do people today even care about any other Hanna-Barbera property besides Scooby Doo? When was the last time you saw someone in the public that know about Huckleberry Hound, Snagglepuss, Augie Doggie and Doggie Daddy and the rest of the characters?
I think the last time I saw people actually talk about them was when DC was doing those crossover comics
>Do people today even care about any other Hanna-Barbera property besides Scooby Doo?
Furries like Swat Kats.
>Do people today even care
That's the point. They have literal decades worth of marketable cartoon characters they're not using. Shit like Jellystone and Scoob are their attempt to get people to care. Parents who grew up with that might be curious about Scoob and use it as a catalyst to introduce their kids to it. And Jellystone will be what their parents can show them on their phones or what the fuck ever kids watch shit on now.
I was into Penny up until I realized she was voiced by the police receptionist from Twin Peaks. I hated that character. Also, Samantha (Milhouse's one-off girlfriend) from one of the lesser episodes of the Simpsons golden age.
That's a lame reason to dislike a character. I don't like Sally Struthers, but I still love Rebecca Cunningham.
A lot. They're just an aging population. They have the properties, so why not try to grab another generation of kids.
Personally the DC comics got me to finally watch some of the Hanna Barbera cartoons I gave little attention to as a kid. Some of them were a lot better than expected and it got me invested in how Jellystone will turn out.
My post-Commie country apparently does, since they imported a few crossover style HB toons a couple years ago, featuring all those characters and a buncha others I never heard of before. Old fart network owners still have strong nostalgia for these characters because these were some of the very few western cartoons they could watch when they were young, and I guess they want to shove them onto moderns kids too.
GARBAGE
True.
Wally Gator's my favorite but he rarely gets attention-- usually likened to a Yogi Bear knockoff.
