I'd figure he'll just be better at doing the Steven thing of hiding his issues and ignoring them in favor of running everything.
He'll take after his mother's way of dealing with grief, in a way, and will turn the anguish of never being as good as his mother at leading and war, or as good as his dad at socialization, singing, talking people down or even just human interaction into trying his best at those things.

Yellow: too much stress

White: To simply see if Yellow and Blue can do her job while she's gone and to make Pink finally mature and act like a diamond in her absence.

My take on Yellow is that she initially just stages a rebellion to test Pink and get rid of rebellous elements that are waiting for the opportunity to rise up, taking the form of a rebellous, yet perfect, excluding her off-coloration, Olivine (essentially a better Peridot).
Eventually Yellow ends up actually believing the shit she's spouting about freedom for gems nad valuing them for what they can do, on top of finding the chaotic nature of humans oddly captivating and liberating.
