amphibia fan art I drew a couple of days ago
Really bad weekend. Nothing salvageable.
Looks good to me, man.
bump
I'm slowly realizing I've plateaued. I haven't been getting much better and now drawing is frustrating cuz I simply am not talented enough to actually draw the drawings I want to do.
>not talented enough
some lucky bastards are blessed with talent, yes, but for most artists, it's a matter of patience and discipline.
I'm shit at giving advice, but imo, all you can really do is continue practicing, studying fundamentals, and challenging yourself. using references and looking up tutorials can also help quite a bit.
don't beat yourself up if your art doesn't always turn out the way you want it to, because it won't 99.9% of the time.
Working on an alternate American history.
Not only are there gunslinging witches, there are Grand Wizards that are actual wizards.
I haven't had much time to work on this. Been dealing with a new job.
God I have so many half-finished pieces lying around. Both on my computer and on my desk...
work in progress for mar10 day
don't remind me
Made a quick doodle of Melissa.
Am considering to continue Time for Danger again.
Not bad user
I would forgo the colored gemstones in the door they draw too much attention vs the wizard at his computer
I drew a bone train
The cheekbones in the face are uneven
How do you guys warm up for drawing/painting? I'm noticing with my own routine I end up taking ages to loosen up properly and by the time I feel fully comfortable drawing again (digitally at least) I'm almost out of steam already.
youtube.com
rough animation
Tried going lineless
Turns out I don't have the patience for it
Also have this
Huh, I'm actually faster when it comes to no lines.
Maybe I'm just not familiar with the intended workflow?
Looks interesting.
A couple of fellows and I are working on something for a competition.
cute! love the style
ooh this looks great!
Drew this Helen Parr dressed as April O Niel delivery last week.
Thanks. But it wasn’t at all what I wanted to draw, which was a couple of raccoons heckling a leprechaun from a trash can.
The usual Batman, more robots.
cool robot dude
All I'd say is that the dude looks a bit generic compared to everyone else
Drew this idea I’ve had for a while, thanks Batman!
So cute.
Just looking the pose sheet my friend made for my OC, helped her draw some of them to help her out
Btw we made this around a month ago.
Atm im just going around trying to find more artists to draw him since I love seeing different art styles.
Great cast of characters but one thing stands out to me. The hat on the small one on the far left bugs me. If it's that wide brimmed, there's some spatial shenanigans going on with their backpack. Could excuse it with cartoon logic but it would get rough if you ever draw them from the side or having to look up.
Very Seuss-like style there. Good crisp line work as well. I dig it
Design is a bit simple but that's not necessarily bad. The wing shape is interesting but feels a little too unnatural and I have a hard time imagining how it moves.
And the hands are probably unique to your style, but they could use a little more structure and depth to them. Try drawing them doing different things at different angles to flesh it out a bit
Well and idea I have for him is that his wings can change their shape/structure (ie. They can change their shape to be more like bat wings or something).
Im still working on how they would move, maybe like insect wings or bat wings.
I'm still working on that part of his design
Someone Drew him for me the other day and made his wings more bat-like.
I think im gonna have me and my friend re-do his wings on the pose sheet to make them look more like that.
can we share lewd work if we censor it
I quit art Mr. Batman. It just hurts to suck for so long
How do i learn to draw
It pays to have a passionate inspiration and the will to trudge through mediocrity to achieve higher standards
Also, taking aspects of art styles you enjoy and drawing tricks to incorporate into your own work. Not necessarily copying the whole thing
Pick up a pencil and practice for 1000000 years
Drawing from life is a good way to start or look up some tutorials
You start.
Pick up the pencil and just start drawing. Always try to learn how to improve in some way and never stop. You'll hit bumps in the road as your brain tries to learn new things every now and then, but so long as you keep thinking and wanting to improve you'll get better.
Or you could be like Questionable Content's Jeph and strike gold and then stagnate for decades while you make bank somehow
Anybody have any good tricks to drawing hands?
Sharing a bit more to keep the thread alive
/tg/ shit
Finished this drawing of an alien character for my upcoming webcomic!
Tell me more
Just doodles, kinda done with them
Sounds bomb-ass, please post it when finished desu.
Sketched Jill Valentine because of RE3 remake hype
Sure! It's called Space Pack, and will be a Sci-fi/comedy comic taking place in a small, suburban town during the mid-90's
It follows a teenager as her simple life is turned upside down when an alien and werewolf become her surprise house guests!
Pic related is a very rough mini-comic featuring a small bit that will be in the story!
This one helped me a lot.
I doodled mothmen
You look familiar.
Also any tips on how to improve my linework? The only way I can even get close to quasi-decent lines is to use cheater textures, and I'm sure that's just in my head.
This was today, doodled all weekend though which was nice!
some sketchdaily stuff
