Yeah. Who should they get next? What should they do now?
He’s Geralt now. And much better as a Witcher from Rivia than a superhero from Krypton.
Next Superman movie should bring Routh back
OUT, AM I?
Here’s my great idea.
Everyone’s sick of origin stories, so what I’m thinking they should do is a trilogy that goes backwards. Basically, movie one would be Superman’s last case. Movie two is his middle years. Movie three is a year one story.
One: Superman Invictus
Adaption of All Star Superman
Two: Superman Glory
Adaption of DC One Million
Three: Superman Origins
Adaption of Superman for All Seasons
Director: Christopher Nolan. He seems to be in Grant Morrison’s wavelength, and is well suited for the big sci-fi settings of All Star and 1000000
Superman would be played by Jon Hamm. His costume and performance would be similar to George Reeves
Lex Luthor would be played by Bryan Cranston
The other superheroes could be played by their DCEU actors. Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, for example.
I’m okay with recasting actors for the third movie if cgi de-aging still looks weird and creepy
How long before Marvel hires him?
as Sentry/Hyperion lmao
Probably
Michael B Jordon
In continuity with Reeve/Returns, or just the same actor?
It’s you who’s out gobby, out of your mind!
Like a month
Yeah.
He's going to be the next Wolverine.
Get Routh back
Almost certainly. I was mad at first but honestly Superman and Batman don't need more movies. They're already household names, people like Shazam and Aquaman are the ones that need movies. A universe with them in the spotlight is fine by me.
They should cast Adam Brody and keep with what Snyder left but with a brighter tone.
>Is Cavill out?
of the closet?
>Adaption of All Star Superman
>Superman would be played by Jon Hamm
wegotthiscovered.com
Already rumors of this, though they are still just rumors
>And while suggesting Jon Hamm borders on cliche in terms of fan-casting, he’d play an excellent experienced Superman at the height of his powers and confidence. That being said, our sources – the same ones who told us Black Mask will be portrayed as gay in Birds of Prey, that Robert Pattinson was chosen over Nicholas Hoult for Batman and that Viola Davis would return for The Suicide Squad, all of which were correct – have stressed that Hamm is just one name on WB’s list and is far from a lock for the part.
>Likewise for this project as a whole. While it’s something the studio would indeed like to pursue, there’s no guarantee at this early, early stage that it’ll actually make it past the development process.
Yeah is he out yet?
>Everyone’s sick of origin stories, so what I’m thinking they should do is a trilogy that goes backwards. Basically, movie one would be Superman’s last case. Movie two is his middle years. Movie three is a year one story.
But aren't people a little sick of prequels too?
Why do they keep getting tall handsome men to play wolverine? He’s supposed to be short and ugly.
Get Joe Pesci to play wolverine
Well DC One Million is a time travel story that involves events both before and after the events of All Star Superman, so it’s not really a clear prequel. It’s kinda a prequel-sequel that shows the far distant future of Superman and what he would become. The origin movie at the end though would be a prequel.
The main idea though is it’s a nice self contained trilogy that contains Superman’s whole (condensed) life story, sorta like the Dark Knight movies, but it starts at the end so people don’t just go “another Superman origin story? I’m not watching this, I know about Krypton and Smallville and all that”
I hope so. I like the guy, but he looks too defaultly angry to play a good superman.
Hopefully. I just can't wait for the Snyderfags rage when it's made official.
Are y'all retarded? They're literally filming a Superman TV show right now. Your Superman content is in progress just wait until the pilot leaks like last time.
>I just can't wait for the Snyderfags rage when it's made official
Grow up. You wouldn’t have superhero movies that are mature and taken seriously without zack synder. You never gotten nether joker, Deadpool or Logan without synder.
>They're literally filming a Superman TV show right now
Which is unrelated to the movies and will not have Cavill and the OP is asking if the movies which are unrelated to the tv shows will have Cavill dumb fucking retard never post again
>You wouldn’t have superhero movies that are mature and taken seriously without Tim Burton
FTFY
I like Hamm, but he'd be a much better Bruce. He doesn't have a happy enough look for Supes.
Snyderfags are annoying faggots but 300 is still amazing and Watchmen is still pretty good. He really fucked up with Man of Steel and BvS. I wonder why. I wonder what happened.
>Watchmen
>good
>BvS
>really fucked up
>Watchmen
>good
It was pretty good yeah. No masterpiece, but not a bad movie. 300 is better
>BvS
>really fucked up
Lex Luthor’s characterization was stupid and annoying, and the Martha scene was just embarrassing for everybody involved
I hope not. I thought he was a great Superman and deserves a movie, with Superman, and a decent script. Not a studio meddled hack-job, nor a half baked script.
I think he could do it if he’s going for the more wry silver age George Reeves type characterization
The Martha scene did it's job
Making me laugh?
Holy fuck, here’s an idea: Superman Red/Superman Blue, starring Henry Cavill and Brandon Routh
Yep, and I’m fine with it. Yes Cavill “looks” like Superman in photos, but he’s a painfully mediocre actor with a limited range. It’s why he makes a great Geralt where he can be snarky, sullen, or sex crazed because Geralt tries so hard to bottle up his emotions. It’s not entirely his fault, Snyder is a retard who sucks at his job, but I’d rather they just reboot Supes like Batman. Don’t tell us another fucking origin story, skip to Year 2 with the villains all in play already. Get a Lex Luthor who doesn’t fucking suck. The main villain should be Metallo and General Sam Lane.
Can’t wait for the asshurt.
Eh I’d still like nice Batman and Superman movies
Should I watch Witcher?
This is so many layers of implausibility and insanity.
Welcome to silver age comics
Snyderfags never stop seething
Yeah, you can only get so many hair plugs before it's noticeable.
He has hair plugs? I actually didn’t know about this
Sorry sweaty
Once you go to TV, you never land another big hit movie.
Which is pretty sad but that's Hollywood.
What's a hair plug?
>I want Supes, but actually Batman
Who are you quoting?
The only good parts are the ones with Henry in it. Its alright background noise at least.
How about adapting All Star Superman.... in three movies? All semi-self contained, ultimately reinterpret the overall story in three acts.
First movie: Has young Superman being overcharged with solar energy, deals with increased powers and more fantastical threats like Bizarro world.
Second movie: Discovers he's slowly dying when Lex tells him what he did in prison, plot revolves around preparing for the inevitable and dealing with people who might become his successors, such as Steel, Superboy, Cyborg Superman, Supergirl. Kinda reverse Reign of Supermen, without Mongul.
Third movie: Death of Superman, final confrontation with Lex, Last date with Lois, defeat of Solaris.
all they have to do is have him in the upcoming supergirl movie as her mentor and make him a lighter hearted character so people warm up to him before they make another superman movie
They could also have him be a mentor in Shazam 2
I don't know man. We probably won't find out until they make another Superman reboot and officially cast someone else in the role, which could be years from now
Sounds to convoluted, like that Hobbit trilogy.
Trilogies are supposed to be three separate yet connected stories, not one movie split into three parts
>Snyder
>mature and taken seriously
pick one
>Trilogies are supposed to be three separate yet connected stories
That's entirely doable within the framework I gave. Each is a more or less an isolated story while still telling a larger narrative in the back ground.
First movie sets up the plot point of being supercharged, rest of movie is dealing with Superman high stake things like Bizarro world. Second movie reveals Superman's actually dying due to being super charged, but the focus is dealing with the Reign of Supermen where Superman now has people who will be his successors, with the big bad guy being Cyborg Superman who is a villain in disguise who ultimately betrays everyone and tries to destroy the entire world, etc. Maybe kill Superboy and Steel, leaving only Supergirl left to fill Superman's boots. And third film is a swan song story where Lex breaks out and teams up with Solaris because he wants to gloat to Superman's face that he's ultimately won, and everything else is about Superman's legacy to the world.
that would be too perfect
Christopher Nolan wrote major parts of MoS, just so you know, and he actually hate the fact that Clark would don a suit and show off his powers without any need. So this post is really hilarious to me.
When are we going to get a Superman movie where the villain isn't Zod or Luthor?
When is it Mr. Mxyptlk's time to shine?
Peter Dinklage as Mxyptlk's?
I just want Gilbert Gottfried to play him in live action one time before he croaks. Even as a cameo. Is that too much to ask?
