Absolutely nothing about this movie looked particularly interesting.
1)It sucks
2)Coronavirus
3)Disney removed all the creative juices from Pixar
4)It sucks

such horrible waste of jewish tax free money!
The setting looks so incredibly bland and unimaginative. It looks like absolutely no thought was put into it.
Why would I want to see a movie about the suburbs but some houses have mushroom caps instead?
No mexishota.
Uninspired setting.
If they had made one of the brothers a girl and marketed it as a princess movie, it would have been #1 at the box office and would have sold a crapload of dolls.
Everyone is so damn ugly.
The movie's trailers lack a certain Pixar je ne sais quoi. I've seen a lot of people think it's from dreamworks or another studio.
Is tasteless, non creative and boring
Animation industry is going down the toilet
Pixar's chained to it's past. Thinking it has to tell regular stories but in a fantastical setting. I don't think it's the writers fault. It's a commonly talked about thing that every executive thinks there's this perfect recipe that can be discovered. They don't want to take risks. They just want a homogeneous product that can be made on a factory line with little input.
>no competition whatsoever
>still fails
lmao
Elementary school spring break doesn't start until next week
Yes
Nothing about this movie seems new or interesting. We've seen Tom Holland and Chris Pratt a million times, especially in the types of roles they're playing. The story doesn't seem very engaging. The setting is boring.
Every element of it is so bland
I'd love a suburban fantasy, but this ain't it.
I felt like they really had to push the marketing for this movie out of worry it would bomb, I mean I was seeing a fucking furniture commercial for it.
Coronavirus scaring people away from theaters
>inb4 Sonic
It wasn’t as bad as when Sonic was out. It is spreading and getting worse. People are afraid to go to restaurants now.
It's this character that made me realize how fucking hideous the designs are. I didn't like flannel boy as it was but I fucking hate the style for this character. Yea it was a gay trans or whatever lgbt thing people were talking about a few days ago but fuck I hate that design it's hideous.
>The setting is boring
This is the most baffling aspect for me. How the hell did they manage to make a fantasy setting boring?
Coronavirus.
Also the movie looked bland.
You know it disappoints me they had two bros going on a road trip and it still sucked ass. We need more fun road trip movies. This one even tried to harp on some 80s(?) style with them but it didn't help at all.
I liked this movie up until the ending, it was so unsatisfying and the movie also felt incredibly short.
Indeed.
And yet one of the biggest criticisms I've seen is how the main character is Linguini as an elf.
I hate this character's face so fucking much, even before that sameface meme came about.
Anyone else thinks the movie looks like it was made by Dreamworks? It screams "generic pop culture" on every screenshot and trailer.
Based and shotapilled.
HE
People who aren’t DnD nerds hate gross ugly elf/troll/etc. fantasy creature designs in CGI that are almost human but not quite.
If it weren’t for having a base level of competency by virtue of being Pixar it’d be in the same category as Delgo, Strange Magic, or Mars Needs Moms as far as totally unappealing shit no one on earth wants to watch
this
> initiate generic cgi fantasy movie
> initiate generic yawn reaction
also
Jurassic Park was corny, but it was novelty.
Onward is a bit cute and corny, but also old on arrival.
La Creatura...
Pretty easily, people have been calling out dnd-style fantasy as generic and uninspired for a long time now. There's definitely an angle you need to make it interesting and pixar banked far too hard on "but it's modern day!" to intrigue, but even that's nothing new. They might as well have made a Discworld film.
even with elves, failed to meet
> costumers expectations
You can tell pixar realised at some point that they didn't have anything amazing on their hands and where trying to play up the "comfy road trip" angle.
el ogro de las americas...
Gotta agree here
Without diving too deeply into ruining the movie for myself with spoilers, trailers and such just didn't make the movie look very interesting.
>#1 Worldwide
>Still not great
>Because ALL movies doing badly rn
BEER FLU
> still fails
> even being one of, if not the, biggest player in the market
>They might as well have made a Discworld film.
Disney was going to make a version of Mort in the 00s that got scrapped because in rights negotiations they couldn’t get Pratchett’s handlers to agree to allowing them to tone down the dark stuff to the degree Disney was obviously going to
should have been about a boomer dragon who hates change
The setting is literally Shrek, that's why.
discworld-based Pratchett
This
look genius, I'm in a "red zone 1" in Italy, I know about it ok? Almost everything was normal until yesterday
At least Shrek and Donkey have their charm. These two look like they were designed for a Simpsons gag about Lisa becoming a fujoshi who posts gay fanfiction on Tumblr.
Anecdata is anecdata. Some people are choosing not to go to the movies out of fear. Hollywood isn't pushing back shit like the new Bond film for no reason. It doesn't matter how normal your day was personally and that you're not scared, other people are and have been for weeks.
Greetings from Red Zone 2!
I'm into it from the trailers but haven't seen it yet so I'm gonna try to keep my expectations low whenever I do see it.
I also think those memes about a particular "pixar face" haven't helped it.
PLAGUEANONS OFF THE GODDAMN BOARD NOW
Would still be more interesting than the film we got.
I literally went out today to an arcade and there were loads of people there.
No one cares.
Fun fact: here in Kirkland there's an old folks home 3 miles from where I live where half the residents are hospitalized with Coronavirus
Go woke go broke
yay!
> Police can and will intimidate you if you live the house for anything apart buying food and needed human presence at work (like in hospitals, package delivery, shop clerk)
Please explain to me why, rationally
ANYWAY
a guy walks into a bar
he orders a coffee with a smile
the bartender stares at him
still stares at him
then he points to the sign on the wall
> WHY DAFUQ YOU VIOLATED THE QUARANTINE
sounds of rifles being reloaded
flametowers firing up
phasers charging up
multiple shit emojis sent from crying bystanders' phones
an old guy in the back: > just like old times!
> Coronavirus: the Movie
Sonic
I'm literally nearby Venice lol (mainland)
absolutely this
it's like Blade Runner 2049, but funny. I can see Ryan Gosling playing the poor dude with his crying meme face
> Corona Runner
> Escape from Quarantine York
directed by Quantin Quarantino
Looked really generic.
I blame the media for making everyone shit their pants over a meme virus with an absolutely pitiful ratio of deaths to infections.
0/10
See me after class.
Show me the deaths, bitch.
it's 14% death rate for over 75 if I remember correctly, 2.2% otherwise
So everyone who posts here is fine except for Boco. Like I said, meme virus.
