this poster is so dramatic for an animated pigeon movie. it reminds me of those painted posters that they’d use for big film releases in the 80s (Indiana Jones, Back to the Future etc)
I hate cluster posters in general.
You forgot:
>generic blue and orange color scheme
Watched this yesterday, it was surprisingly terrible. It's way too long (will smith doesn't become a pigeon until almost 30 minutes in) but the plot moves forward in sudden massive jumps (will smith getting arrested stood out worst). Never really felt like it used the whole pigeon thing properly either as Will Smith spends as much time human as he does pigeon.
Also, the entire cast is annoying and unlikeable. Wtf was the bad guy's accent? Sometimes it was vaguely European but it kept slipping into Australian.
>dat random hot receptionist
>someone spent a long time designing this character only for her to be on screen for less than a second
Don't really have an issue with blue orange contrast but fuck is it annoying seeing so many people blatantly make one half blue and the other orange then calling it a day. If you're gonna do it at least integrate it into what's going on in the art like this.
How's the scientist sidekick for Will Smith Spy?
lanky, sure but at least he doesnt have that generic jew hair that 99% animated cgi films seems to throw at us.
He's just kinda annoying. He has no character arc and is the typical quirky borderline autistic geek you always see in these films.
His personality is literally a series of bullet points of things that where it never really goes into detail, are usually brought up once then forgotten about, never being used to give him depth, they're just plot points that are needed for one scene.
>cop mother died
>he is a pacifist (because of the above? Who knows, the film spends about 10 seconds on this and still just dances around the reason)
>he's obsessed with pigeons. Except he isn't really because he doesn't seem to give a shit about his pet pigeon and he only talks about them when Will Smith needs something explained
>he likes glitter, it's this film's spork
he's weird! Lots of people call him weird, his mother liked him being weird, does then make some commentary on it being good to be weird later in the film? Nope
This film feels like it was a mess of rewrites before they eventually went "fuck it, lets release what we've got"
