It's great for what it is.
It's a story FOR KIDS, that adapts a few 1940's radio episodes.
It updates the content enough, while still keeping it relevant, and faithful.
Also, in retrospect, this is probably the most influential Superman story ever told, since if did a lot to help the average American to start protesting the KKK, which made a small course change in American Culture.
So it's great it finally got a comic book adaptation.
