Is it just me or is the dialogue a bit trash? The animation is alright, music's fine and story's pretty cool too, but the dialogue has none of the charisma that that games' dialogues had.

Isaac's and Dracula's scenes are some of the best in the show, as are Isaac's scenes in S3 so far. So I know they have potential, I just don't get why they make anything with Belmont/Syphas/Alucard so forced. And fuck Carmilla and her sisters in general, everything that comes out of their mouth is saturday villain nonsense.

Can't wait for that to be ruined by the time I'm done with the season.

Do this idiots even know that the Church actually funded and promoted science and the study of the natural world during the middle ages? Monks are the most educated scholars around. Inquisition and Witch hunts had very little kill count and even the Church itself thought it was insane. Aside from giving nobles the proverbial go signal from God for whatever shit they were gonna do, the Church had little power bit down your door and make you disappear. The worst the Church could do is riles a up a mob against you or report to the authorities that you were guilty of some heresy or witchcraft which would not even work half the time.

Isaac gets by just by being voice-acted well and not laden with curses or jarringly modern colloquialisms. The actual content of his scenes are kinda pedantic and even a little juvenile with how much he goes "grr people are mean, why won't they let me pass through their towns with a horde of flesh eating demons? I HATE THEM!"

You are right, but it seems fitting to his character for the most part. Most of the intentions behind the antagonists have been trash so far. Dracula's "Kill everyone but don't.", Isaac's "Kill everyone." and Carmilla and her sisters' "Let's make a vampire kingdom." all suck dick. The interactions between certain characters and the characters' self-reflection are the best part of this show by far.

Too bad it's a treatment they only give to certain villains and the protagonists get jack all for character development.

Are they not allowed to use castlevania music? given that a good portion of the characters and concepts are entirely under fair use its kind of bullshit that they wouldn't give them full access to the music. I know Square struggles to get access to some of it's music for things.

It's alright, a bit stiff most of the time though. They did reach a nice compromise instead of dumping everything in one or two episodes like many shows do.
