This. After how epic Not What He Seems was I thought it was just the beginning but turns out they rushed the rest in 9 episodes. It sucks. That episode unlocked so much potential that was never explored.

Exactly! They never even entered the fucking portal once and we never saw Bill's dimension. So much weird stuff could have been shown off and the crew didn't even try. Weirdmageddon just felt like a way to end the show faster rather than a deserved ending. It didn't help that the episodes between Not What He Seems and Weirdmageddon were pretty bad.

Yeah those two weren't bad I guess. But the D&D, unicorn, and road trip ones were inexcusable for how late in the show's run they were.

The twins in Piedmont trying to fit in with people that haven't dealt with eldritch demons while they slowly realize that something has changed? With asides following Stan and Ford going on an around-the-world trip to various oddities around the world.

Not What He Seems was clearly meant to be the Season 2 finale. And then Season 2B would've been Season 3.
Though I have a feeling they would've just added a bunch of filler episodes. Granted, they probably would've been more interesting thanks to the addition of Ford.

There's really no point in having one. Second half of the second season might have been disappointing, but all the character arcs were concluded and central mysteries were solved.

I thought the second Half of Season 2 Was Really good of not a little rushed. And i agree there's no reason for a third Season, the main Villain was defeated,the character arcs were concluded and central mysteries were solved. I certainly wouldn't mind more Gravity Falls Returns (Books, TV Movies, Video Games) but there's not really a huge Need or Demand for it.

But he also could do all this.

I would never want to see a season three made now that the show has already ended, but I wish that Hirsch had gone through with his initial plan to let the story with Bill and Ford play out over three seasons. The biggest problem with the last quarter of the show is that it felt rushed, and giving the various plot developments a little more room to breathe would've done it a world of good.

If that were the case, the calculations wouldn't have borne out in reality when he threw the ball at the bottles.

Working out a problem like that in the real world, mathematically accounting for every relevant variable, is completely insane for a twelve year old.
