Julie-Su
Julie-Su
What's with these naming conventions?
I WILL NEVER FORGIVE PENDERS FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE TO MY WAIFU, NEVER!
Meh. No offense of course, but Lara-Su was more entertaining than Julie. As much as I may understand the hidden potential she holds, Julie seemed rather boring and one-note for me. Ian has managed her better, but neither him was able to bring to her enough of justice.
So, Archie Sonic thread?
Julie is nothing more than pink knuckles who is also the waifu of knuckles.
There's so many at first I thought this was the one who that current porn comic with tails is with
I want that novel already
Just like how that user is never going to forgive, that novel is never going to come out.
Is that his sister or his wife?
God you non-satAM fans will never understand how heavy this cyborg shit was
At least with the novel you can imagine her how you want
Surly-Jew
Comic really should have ended when they destroyed the roboticizer and the entire world would have been better off.
I mean looking back we were the angstiest of teenagers
I liked the multidimensional trickery that was pulled for the sake of continuity
there's something distinctly not sonic like about many of the older comic and cartoon OCs
Out of curiosity did they ever reveal Knuckles's actual name, or did they really just name their kid Knuckles?
I think my first encounter with more than half the extended cast of the comics were porn comics and fan comics.
Sonic didn't have a defined style back then and the American stuff looked like generic anthros because they were American. Not hard to figure out at all.
The Tree starts at the bottom not the top for some reason.
It's revealed sometime during or after the SA1 adaptation that Knuckles is named after the Knuckles Clan that got wiped out by Chaos.
reason why I like the reboot
>Julie-Su
More like MARY SUE! Am I right?!
Penders aping Byrne.
This is some Deviant Art """"Donut Steel"""" levels of autism. I cannot believe I read all of these up until a point life got to hectic.
Which is funny because in the comic the Knuckles Clan were a failed colony that turned savage and had no relation to Angel Island or any living echidna, including Knuckles himself.
It's like naming your son Troglodyte.
I like to think that classic Eggman in this context was a guy selling the king his inventions rather than advisor in the royal court.
Kind of.
Reboot Eggman was a renegade GUN scientist who tricked King Acorn into thinking the humans were preparing an invasion and was granted asylum in exchange for technology to help defend the kingdom.
Cousin, technically, but both yes
First, does this family tree have parents beneath sons? Never seen that kind of shit.
Second, Byron + 17 generations = Lara-Su = Byron + 5 generations, that's some seriously pedo fucked up shit!
The Dimitri side of the family were trapped in a dimension where time passed slower.
Still pretty /ss/ of Julie-Su... And by that I mean based Knuckles
I refuse to believe anyone actually likes and cares about this character
Unless your name rhymes with "Pen Blenders" pretty much no one actually likes her for non-pornographic reasons
Took me a second. Fuck politics though.
I don't think even Penders likes her very much. He never really did anything with her. Even now he's more concerned with Lara-Su.
She was one of my favorites. Way underutilized.
Fucking Penders.
Oh yeah I really don't think politics would improve a sonic thread. It was just relevant because of his confusion the other day.
I wonder if Penders knows about Knuckles real creator, Takashi Yuda
>wonder if Penders knows about (x)
Guarantee the answer is "no" unless he created it himself
Why does she have a grey bang? Some futuristic hair style?
Cybernetic augments. Don't ask why or what it even does because it's never explained
In a way, she's responsible for killing the comic. Hm.
Theres a little satellite dish in one of them. The real question is why they have cyborg replacements for their hair.
>Her and Knuckle's daughter married Vector's son.
Wew. Archie was weird.
And THEIR son became one of Silver's teachers.
Must feel good to win the rights to something completely shitty due to a strange clerical error.
Wonder if Ian is gonna tell us what would had happen if the reboot didn't happened.
He was going to at one point, then decided that he might wanna use the ideas in IDW someday (or, somehow, get to continue writing the Archieverse) so he changed his mind.
Fuck, hope he changes his mind later on.
Ken Penders threatened to sue him if he did.
No he didn't. And if he did, theres nothing Ken could do about it anyway.
>No he didn't.
The man's been going on a twitter tirade for the last couple of weeks.
In particular, his disdain/envy of Ian Flynn seems to be reaching its boiling point.
Huh, thats new.
And so very very sad.
That must be why I feel so, yeah. Obviously, because Penders is Penders, but like I said, neither Ian has made any effort to make her move past of her tiring old self of Girl Knuckles.
And it doesn't help too that they Kunckles and Julie were paired together by no reason other then some asinine and arbitrary excuse of "soulmates" or something, and their subsequent building relationship seems to have happened mostly off the panels.
I liked this elder echidna, with its enjoyable and varied personality, and unique and varied enough design. He easily stands higher in matters of quality than almost every echidna made by Penders. Though, it does beg me to question why is he named as Edmund.
>And THEIR son became one of Silver's teachers.
Edmund in the future is the son of Lara-Su and Argyle? For real? I don't recall myself ever catching this specific detail during my readings.
>then decided that he might wanna use the ideas in IDW someday
I don't think I would approve this, or else, the ideas of his would have to be reworked and chopped dozens of times in order to accommodatingly make the story work in function within IDW's format. Besides, IDW Sonic sucks, thus no hope would I have at the said ideas turning out great.
>Edmund in the future is the son of Lara-Su and Argyle? For real? I don't recall myself ever catching this specific detail during my readings.
Yeah, his references to his parents and grandparents made it clear. Plus he's supposedly over a hundred and Silver's time is 200 years in the future so the general timeframe fits.
Okay, let's say I wanna dive face first into the insanity of Archie Sonic, where is the best place to start?
Issue 160 (when Ian Flynn started) or 252 (when it was rebooted). Anything before that is only to see how bad it is (although the first 50 issues aren't too bad).
Depends, if you want the full insanity start with Issue 1 and read on, dipping into side issues here and there.
If you want to be sane, start at either 160 (when Flynn took over) or 250-251 (when the reboot happened, forget when)
Here's a handy reading guide
>his references to his parents and grandparents made it clear.
Yes, I did of course read him saying such information... but I never knew he was specifically referring to, of all people, Lara and Argyle. Intriguing.
>Plus he's supposedly over a hundred and Silver's time is 200 years in the future so the general timeframe fits.
Fascinating... the theory does make sense. Neat, I say, hehe.
Read from the very first issue, until the very last one, which means reading the entire entity of Archie Sonic.
I personally recommend that, not just because I was only able to get hooked up at the comic through this way, but also that if you try to pick any of the later specific issues and start there, you might feel somewhat discouraged from continuing given of the details from past issues you will meet, yet obviously never understand them. Besides, desire of having a that's as well-formed as possible opinion of Archie Sonic has pushed me further to read all issues.
I also suggest using tails.kicks-ass.net, as it provides the best scanned uploads of the issues. I hope you will enjoy the comic book, buddy!
That top outfit just looks like a fancier Battle Kukku uniform.
