I beat some of the well off kids do this too, but the best kids have actual parents that parent and care about their child's wellbeing so even if they do drugs and orgies, it is a responsible amount infrequently.

As for sex, I'm a year older than you so I'm a wizard now. I consider myself to have fucked up since I did desperately want to have sex but was too much of a pathetic loser (not to mention having undiagnosed and untreated crippling anxiety and depression all throughout high school and college). Never had a girlfriend, never kissed, all that stuff.

Having binged the movie and the comic within the last week, I gotta say, the movie was a lot better and ambitious. The movie feels like the product of someone who's actually lived a social life and the experiences feel true to life. the comic just feels like some shut-ins fantasies. Which I guess is true since Bakshi is a lot more of an extrovert than Crumb, but it still I feel Bakshi brought life to the material Crumb never could.

i grew up in NYC in the 80s, my parents grew up in NYC in the 60s, yes, this is an accurate if a bit exaggerated and stylized account of how it was. fun fact, The Warriors is pretty much the same way, my childhood was basically learning which gangs my neighborhood ran with and which ones to avoid and how to tell the difference, playing with my freinds was pretty much forming our own gang, collecting makeshift weapons, and defending our "turff" which was just the interconnected alleyways and maintenance areas of the apartment buildings on our block. then the 90s came and all that shit was pretty much moot.

I thought that the whole point of the movie was in showing how shallow and ultimately self-destructive young people and the hippie culture were at that time.
