How are they going to reverse this? Last time (the better story), they needed to call in Mxyzptlk to get the world to forget. What will it take this time?

He could always sell his marriage and his son to Trigon or something. Especially if something happens to his parents.
Maybe 5G Jon ends his stint as Superman by sacrificing his existence so his parents can have their old lives back.
>Maybe 5G Jon ends his stint as Superman by sacrificing his existence so his parents can have their old lives back.
That sounds about right.
DC insists that 5G isn't a reboot, but it could still be an opportunity to reboot certain things.
It will be forced and contrived.
Bendis will probably undo it after he leaves the books (sans the past X-Men). He tends to put his toys away when he leaves a book series. Though Jon will probably still be an adult.
Another reboot by DC?
I'm shocked
Daily reminder that bendis did nothing wrong
Daily reminder shills for Bendis are getting more desperate
Shut up Bendis.
I'm not a hard core hater or anything, but his identity reveal thing has made me drop him like a red hot iron. If Superman revealed that he was actually a journalist, it would not turn out okay for him. His normal life would be over, and his family would be targets forever. They got that much right with Superbro, and now it's like "everything is okay!"
>hurr durr he aged up Jon
Most likely because editorial (read: DiDio) told him to. Other than Jon being aged up (which isn’t an issue) the Superman run has been fine.
action comics has been unreadable tripe though
Both are unreadable. His Superman run was pretty bad right from the start.
The reveal is so everyone can hate him because everyone thinks he’s the king of the world for representing earth in the United planets. Bendis is doing this to create conflict and conflict creates drama, and in the end no one will care that Clark is Superman.
If Tomasi circles back to the superbooks the way he did the Batbooks, that’ll probably be fixed in the first arc
Well last time they needed to fix Superman's history they had Mister Mxyzptlk do it
Out of the us 3 writers at DC, (Snyder, King, Bendis) Bendis is the only good one.
>Snyder
Superman has to fight the Batman who keks for 20 issues
>king
I miss krypton :( call me Kal El I’m an alien who
Will never be a human I’m so depressed
>bendis
Meh Jon is 17 now
Jon's age up is what drove me away from with his run, and I refuse to come back unless he's deaged and those seven years being tortured are undone.
Jon spending seven years in between ages 10 and 17 is absolutely unacceptable to me. The only way to satisfy me is for it to be undone.
Jon being erased from continuity is not acceptable. He needs to get his preteen and teenage years back.
My position is not negotiable.
Jon was gonna be aged up at some point. He cant be 10 forever.
You know we could always just have Superboy Prime kill old Jon, reveal Mxy swapped him for a fake, then get original Jon back
That's not the point, numbnuts. It was far too soon, and Bendis is a shit writer who basically replaced him outright with an imposter
He should have stayed around the same age as Damian, and Supersons continued.
If they want to aghe them up do it naturally in universe with a time skip.
Jon being aged up by being tortured in another universe for seven years covering an important developmental years of his life is intolerable,
>Jon being aged up by being tortured in another universe for seven years covering an important developmental years of his life is intolerable,
There was a entire issue where Superman was butthurt by this. Superman will always be butthurt about this.
They should start a series of AUs. Expand the AUs that get popular and phase out the current mainstream titles. The most popular AU will then be treated as main continuity from then on.
His Superman run has been plagued by all of Bendis' normal issues. He drops plot lines all over the place, meanders away instead of resolving things, can't write character voices or personalities for shit and does absolutely no buildup.
Look at the fucking UP nonsense for example. Why would all of these intergalactic rulers suddenly decide to get along because a teenager they only know as a relative of Superman told them to? In particular when one involved party is the Dominion, who do nothing but wage war and kill other people.
Idiot, the issue is Bendis fucked it up. Jon should've aged, but Bendis went and did it the stupidest way possible.
Clark and Lois seem to barely care about their son since Bendis came on board. Hell the whole thing only happened because of ooc negligence on their part.
Die.
If I was Clark, and a father who cares about my chiuld having a normal life not being tortured, I'd travel back in time and rescue young Jon myself.
The real Jon Kent needs to be rescued from where he's been time displaced.
That's how this mess needs to be fixed.
Calm down
It's hard to defend Bendis when Clark and Lois magically forget that Jor-El was acting like a damn lunatic not long ago, and then decide its okay for their son to go with him
Because the LOSH were there from the future and told them to their faces it works and they agreed do it. Did you read the run?
He just doesn't know how to write people with even a shadow of a brain cell. Even his version of Brainiac 5 is stupid as shit.
Only when Bendis fucks off.
Fucking this. Holy shit, why doesn't Bendis do the bare fucking minimum necessary when it comes to following what other writers have done?
And that’s what gonna happen. Like that user said, bendis cleans up the the mess, so something involving time travel will happen doubtful though because of 5G
Relax
Shut the fuck up, Bendisfag.
Bendis isn't the good anything
Take deep breaths
But you don't age a kid seven fucking years in a couple of issues and then act like it's fine
>doubtful though because of 5G
And that's why I can't give DC benefit of the doubt. We've got to keep the heat on. If Jon gets reset back how he was I'll go back and give another chance, but they've worn me out to the point I can't give them blind trust.
I did, but that isn't proof of anything. No one (save for maybe Vril Dox) would recognise them, and it's much more likely that the various alien world leaders would suspect that it's a ruse orchestrated by the Kryptonians or one of the other leaders than it actually being a bunch of people travelling there from the future.
>Jon wants to go on superhero adventures with damien instead of going to school
>creates a clone to fill in for him
>the clone becomes Old Jon in Legion
>normal 10 year old Jon shows up one day after going on an adventure with Damien
>Lois grounds him for a week
the end. entire problem fixed in two pages
Superman and Lois aren’t okay with it, it’ll be resolved
Yeah, this. I don’t mind that Arrowverse Jon will be a teenager because at least that version got there alongside his family. No bullshit like spending his formative years alone without Lois, Damian and Clark
Jon will be the next “Superman”.,
DC should publish 5G books but make a clear distinction that 5G and DC universe are separate continuities.
youtube.com
just change "Death Of Superman" with "Superman reveals his secret identity" and nothing changes really
Literally no one is going to buy a non canon book about Luke Fox Batman.
King>Snyder>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Bendis
Unless the artificial age up by way of torture is undone before 5G and we get a Jon who grew up with a normal life, not interested.
For something that seems easy to resolve(go back in time and across the vibrational barriers, grab rescue your kid, go home) it's taking long time without the options even being discussed. Jon staying like this and them accepting this is not acceptable as a reader.
>Unless the artificial age up by way of torture
Wat
I just thought it was an interstellar type time travel thing where he was aged up because it worked differently where he was in space
>For something that seems easy to resolve(go back in time and across the vibrational barriers, grab rescue your kid, go home) it's taking long time without the options even being discussed.
Because Bendis drags it out like he always does. His defenders usually go "wait and see" (hell, I'm sure he does it too), but as far as I'm concerned, the last decade of Bendis comics showed me that it's no longer worth waiting and seeing.
No. He got stranded back in time on Earth Three for seven years where Ultraman tortured him in a volcano.
How did no one look at that and stop to think, "Yeah, this is a really bad idea."?
Comic book editors just make sure there are no glaring spelling mistakes
they never tell a writer to fuck off like they used to
Yeah, but Superman is all about truth.
And everyone knows that being truthful means you're not allowed to have a private life or an alter ego and must make everything about yourself public knowledge.
Nope, he actually started to age before that, but he spent quite a while in the volcano as well.
It wasn't an artificial age up. That user always say the same shit. He spent unspecified years in a volcano on earth 3 and spent unspecified time surviving on earth 3 after he escaped ultraman. He actually started growing up in space before he went to earth 3.
There it is. Jon wasn't that jacked when he 1st got on the ship. Kinda wish you showed the before picture.
Beginning of Space Travels
Near the end of Space Travels
After Earth 3
Editors nowadays are retarded. Also Didio.
save us, Mort
This. It will probably last for 12-24 issues plus some crossover one-shots and annuals.
But if DC does a deal with Satan themselves and they manage to get Tomasi to write Jon again then it will probably carry over in some capacity.
