Bojack gets his shit together.
He's also rich, if you're rich you don't really HAVE to get your shit together.
He could've just kept being a drug addict alchy and have done nothing forever, but then there wouldn't be a show.
Feminism ruined it. The bird show themes bled into it and suddenly men are bad became the narrative. Since bojack was a man he got shafted. Nevermind penny basically lying to save her skin and whatnot
you can change, but patterns of behavior are ingrained and are hard to change
it takes conscious effort every day, and ultimately it takes honesty
BoJack was able to demonstrate the ability to change, but he wasn't honest either about the crimes he knew he'd committed or about the extent to which he was still clinging to old behavior, and it was only when control was taken away from him entirely by prison that he truly demonstrated that his desire to change was genuine
without that he'd have just been another fat old drunk being driven to In-N-Out by his ex on the way to rehab because nobody else gives a shit about his manbaby ass
You can change but it's hard, not everyone has to wait for you to become a better person in the end and have the right to wash their hands of you if you remain a toxic influence in their life, and it is very easy to slip back to old habits if you're not careful.
NORMAL
>penny lied
How?
The point is they didn't know how to it after six years and threw something together.
Where was the fuck?
>men are bad became the narrative.
Not only that but it dragged on. It should of stuck around 3 maybe 4 seasons. At first I thought that whole narrative was some sort of joke but after one two many skits of them just talking about how evil the world is like the whale guy who made murder legal that is when the political agenda became super clear.
