This show is way too good than it has any right to be. Sadly it's going to be a cult classic cartoon that gets cancelled quickly. Why does Nickelodeon pick up shows they just know won't meet their ridiculous standards?

mega?
Because if they don't, people will forget that they made cartoons.
It's an average pre-school show with nothing to offer to an older viewer.
>First episode has a joke about Pony intruding in on their neighbour while they're naked
Yeah, sure. A "pre-school" show.
>pony
Why the fuck did it have to be a PONY? Why couldn't it have been something else, like an ELEPHANT or something? It's like they fucking hate me!
>*This show is way better than it has any right to be
“Than” implies comparison, and “better” is a suitable comparative adjective, whereas “too good” is not.
And I agree. It’s Pony is a solid cartoon that I feel would get the recognition it deserves if more people were accepting of comedy with lighter jokes and character acting that aren’t all up in your face.
Fuck every Glitch Techs spammer on this board.
Bart did the elephant thing first.
>inb4 thread dies within the next two hours
I fucking hate Yas Forums.
I'd make more webms, but it's kind of difficult because It's Pony's best jokes are very elaborate and sometimes run for an entire episode. The only other cartoon written like this is Rick and Morty, oddly enough.
Okay, I will see it. I know the feeling, so going to give this an opportunity.
I don't like the annoying friend trope.
There is a show with a unicorn that is basicly the same as this.
And now we wait.
I still hope the original short gets uploaded at some point.
I wanna fuck Annie’s mom
>That was the plan?
>Half of it.
>What was the other half?
>*reaches for other boot*
Trust me, . The "annoying friend trope" may be repetitive at times, but it can still lead to some good jokes. It's also usually needed to spark some conflict in most comedies.
For a new episode?
Yes
Well, we aint waiting for the coronavirus.
anybody got the megas for the older episodes? Last episode I saw was the game one
I don’t.
Oh, wait. I do.

>would get the recognition it deserves if more people were accepting of comedy with lighter jokes and character acting that aren’t all up in your face
This. It’s Pony and are underrated. I hate modern cartoon fandom.
where’s the new episode
Should i feel bad about shipping the fuck out of Annie and Pony?
At pacific midnight most likely
The onion cartoon is hard to be appreciated because it's on modern CN. I don't touch anything from it out of principle
What’s so bad about modern CN?
>Steven Universe [Future]
>OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes
>DC Super Hero Girls
>Mao Mao: Heroes of Pure Heart
>Infinity Train
>Craig of the Creek
These are/were all great. I’ve even heard that Summer Camp Island is worth watching, too. Apple & Onion certainly is.
There is some bad, but there’s also plenty of good.
>it’s over
>it’s over
>waifu shit
>furry shit
>sci-fi shit
>slice-of-life shit
Everything is shit. I hate cartoons.
>What’s so bad about modern CN?
AT started descending into surreal madness about 2,5-3 seasons in
RS descended into shipping drama and sheer repetition.
TTGo, PPGo, and Thundercats feel like deliberate attempts to piss off fans of the original shows.
SU is reliant on references, is an SJW propaganda machine. Also >connie s1_vs_s4_comparison
Clarence as a character is annoying, and they got rid of the best character after literally one episode
Otgw with its 2deep4u "it happened, but it didn't" ending
But I think the final straw for me was We bare bears.
Also Samurai Jack S5 and its stupid ending.
This is your brain on Yas Forums
OTGW was based though.
>about 2,5-3 seasons in
what did user mean by this
More and more abrupt endings. Nonsensical plots in general.
Either way, I'm extremely biased against everything that has to do with modern CN - their style, their writing, the sort of shows they greenlight etc. It would take a great S2 of SBT to make me believe in them again
>AT started descending into surreal madness about 2,5-3 seasons in
Adventure Time admittedly made some weird choices from Season 5B onward, but overall it was still good and engaging up until the final ninth season. That had a few gems, but it was a mess as a whole.
>RS descended into shipping drama and sheer repetition.
That’s fair, but Season 7 was a pretty good return to form, plus the core of the show’s genius was the characters. Mordecai, Rigby, and the whole Park crew remained entertaining whenever shipping drama wasn’t the focus.
>TTGo, PPGo, and Thundercats feel like deliberate attempts to piss off fans of the original shows.
I can agree that TTG! does use the original series to piss off fans from time to time, but whenever they don’t use that previous show to make quick jabs at it, it works really well as a non-sequitur slapstick cartoon. TTG!’s comedic timing is great. NuPPG is objectively shit, yeah. But ThunderCats Roar isn’t shitting on the previous incarnations; it’s just doing its own thing and excelling at being a goofy comedy in a similar vain to OK K.O.!, another great modern CN series.
>SU is reliant on references
Objectively wrong.
>is an SJW propaganda machine
You only dismiss basic morals of human empathy as “propaganda” because you don’t agree with those views. Quit being an immature xenophobe and maybe then you’ll see that everything the show says through its story and characters has depth and makes sense.
>Also >connie s1_vs_s4_comparison
If you don’t like one character, then that’s fine. Not everyone is gonna be a fan favorite.
>Clarence as a character is annoying, and they got rid of the best character after literally one episode
“Muh Amy Gillis” will always be the dumbest reason for hating Clarence. Even if you personally couldn’t appreciate the MC, the characters around him made for a great cast.
>Otgw with its 2deep4u "it happened, but it didn't" ending
So, the ending alone ruined the entire miniseries? It’s about the journey, not the destination. Plus, who cares what The Unknown actually was when it was mainly used as a device for Wirt to grow and be a better brother? Over the Garden Wall was great.
>But I think the final straw for me was We bare bears
I won’t lie; I stopped actively watching the show after about 100 episodes, but it’s honestly not that bad for an episodic comedy with some occasional continuity. The main cast is just kind of lacking.
>Also Samurai Jack S5 and its stupid ending
Season 5 was good up until the last two or three episodes. Get over yourself.
>So, the ending alone ruined the entire miniseries?
>Season 5 was good up until the last two or three episodes.
Yes, user, ending can ruin something you otherwise liked/loved. Ask Mass Effect fans on Yas Forums, which I'm one of
>“Muh Amy Gillis” will always be the dumbest reason for hating Clarence
Sure, but she was a being of pureness, and her being introduced in the first episode only to be immediately dumped felt like a cocktease.
>it works really well as a non-sequitur slapstick cartoon
Yeah, picrelated sums it up pretty well. Real comedy gold you got there
hi ULTOR
Okay. When TTG! doesn’t use the 2003 show to make quick jabs at it OR indulges in weird fetishes, it’s a pretty solid comedy cartoon. There’s more of the latter than the former; vocal haters of the show just always use the former to emphasize how much they hate an otherwise good series.
>otherwise good series.
user, you can't have this, filled with these
>quick jabs at 2003 show
> weird fetishes
It just doesn't compute. Good series is a series which is consistently good, and not 50% of forgettable comedy / 50% of shit
It's Pony is a good series
Kipo is a good series
TTG isn't.
Cut it out, Simon. We all know the *only* one who likes this tripe is you.
The tweening is atrocious in this thing, for some reason. It's like I'm looking at a PAL to NTSC conversion.
it's from motion compensation deinterlacing
The first 'distract him' bit was kinda funny, but the second time caught me off guard and made me laugh more than I probably should have.
Summer Camp Island is better than half of that list (Infinity Train is great though).
Summer Camp Island is perhaps the only cartoon on that list to have any real subtext and doesn't boorishly bash you over the head with it.
Subtlety, cleverness, ingenuity, and eloquence are in short supply at modern CN, and maybe even less so at Disney and Nick (with the exception of It's Pony.) I'm not even blaming these shows. People don't seem to appreciate those qualities anymore.
>Should i feel bad about shipping the fuck out of Annie and Pony?
Yes, because Pony is metaphorically her autistic younger brother.
>deinterlacing
What? Isn't everything made these days in progressive scanning?
So, who gets sheath cleaning duty?

Larson-esque.
havent watched actual tv in months, had no reason to check this out until this very thread spurred my intrigue with OP post
redpill me Yas Forums what is this show? I want to know what I get into before I dive in.
No, Yas Forumstards obviously wouldn't be able to enjoy it anyway.
The visuals are simple but polished and charming, but where it truly shines is the writing. Everything's PG rated, but it's clever, well structured, and perfectly timed. I can't stress this enough: this is one of the few cartoons currently airing that has actual jokes rather than just sarcasm, awkwardness, or references.
The dialogue is naturalistic and eloquent which gives the actors a chance to truly act. I went so far as to do a word count in sub editing software. Episode 108 of Casagrandes had 3135 words. It's Pony episode 106 had 2727. That is not trivial, and makes a huge difference in the delivery.
>Steven Universe [Future]

a bit overboard in the forced diversity but the voice acting is good and many jokes work.
>forced diversity
I haven't seen all the episodes yet, what examples do you have of forced diversity?
Misha having bad opinions, as usual.
Courtesy boop
lol no problem dude
The webms and some clips I saw of the show actually make me want to watch it. It feels very reminiscent of cartoons from the 90s and 2000s and a breath of fresh air from the hyperactive Adventure Time inspired shit that plagued the 2010s
>These are/were all great
>were
...
You goofballs did it... Y'all actually fucking did it...
I had my doubts, but you guys somehow managed to keep this thread running in my absence. The last time this shit happened was three weeks ago, but it feels like it's been CENTURIES.
Thanks for pulling through, guys. I knew this small It's Pony fandom was still alive to some degree. I hope MEGAnon arrives soon.
Well, I actually like the cartoon and the voice of Pony is so calming, thanks for shilling this, otherwise I wouldn't have known about it.
>Le Grand Méchant Renard
So THAT’S what this show subconsciously reminded me of
>isekai
That's not isekai. That's not isekai at all.
How is it not? Tulip and Jesse were transported to an alternate world, composed of infinite alternate worlds. If that’s not an isekai, then there must be something I'm not understanding here.
it is
23.976p -> 29.97i -> 29.97p
similar thing happened with The Adventures of Paddington
>It's Pony #107 - Pet Pony/Dog Day
mega.nz
>Checked iTunes just then
>It's up there
I did not expected an episode to drop today. Are they airing these on the weekend or something? Who the fuck premieres an episode on the weekend?
I think it's saturday morning. App updates late, so we upload it at midnight between sat and sun.
>Heston's Coat was a massive subversion to the norm
I like the concept that Annie is just as destructive as Pony. I hope they show it more.
>Who the fuck premieres an episode on the weekend?
A network that distributed children’s cartoons... ? Are you at all familiar with how TV normally works?
after checking a preview on iTunes I think that the source framerate is probably 25p
25p -> 25i -> 29.97i -> 29.97p
Cheers.
>25p
Normal for Canada and Europe. I don't know why they butcher the source before putting it on the app
Maybe it's just that scene, but I don't see the same awkward tweening
the last episode (#107) doesn't have motion interpolation effect that was on the previous episodes (#101-106)
This inconsistency is killing me.
This show never misses a chance to throw a curveball.
Good stuff!
Thanks, bud. I really appreciate it.
You got lucky this time around, but I doubt anybody who’s interacted with this thread is willing to keep discussion flowing for the rest of today. It’s Pony fans aren’t as dedicated as Amphibia or Glitch Techs fans.
I’m not saying I want the level of spamming and shitposting that plagues every one of those shows’ threads; I just wish more anons here cared enough to keep some interesting convo going about It’s Pony. It’s a good show that deserves some recognition, and not a thread that takes 36 fucking hours to get even 100 replies
Hello?? Is anybody there... ?
>dude nudity lmao
As I was saying.
Clearly not. Look at those timestamps, my guy.
I like how it does it have a shitty beanmouth art style.
>does it
Also, there isn’t anything inherently bad about the bean mouth.
Eh, good shows without "lore" don't get much discussion around here. But who cares - people here know it's good, I know it's good, and it's all that matters.
>good shows without "lore" don't get much discussion around here
And that’s fucking stupid. Any good show can yield a healthy amount of discussion without resorting to THEORIES or HEADCANONS.
For a show like It’s Pony, we could talk about the characters, the art style, the music, the writing, the crew behind the show, how the show fares against other modern cartoons (specifically Nicktoons), and what we expect of the show’s future success or failure.
Maybe it’s ‘cause I personally find theories boring since they’re not canon and usually overhype an already perfectly fine plan mapped out by the creators, but I don’t think it’s fair that comedy cartoons are always sidelined as if we can’t go on for hours and hours about, say, SpongeBob or The Simpsons.
Also, we can talk about waifus and husbandos. I want to fuck Annie’s mom.
Shit, I meant to quote .
>Also, we can talk about waifus and husbandos.
I wanna see continuation of picrelated
>Jerry
>I don’t think it’s fair that comedy cartoons are always sidelined as if we can’t go on for hours and hours about, say, SpongeBob or The Simpsons.
I can't even remember the last time we had a good thread about SpongeBob, and Simpsons threads are almost always derailed by either sneedposting, Lisafag, or both these days. Sadly the days of comfy threads about comedic shows are dead and now all Yas Forums has to offer is either coom or twitter screencap threads.
OK K.O.! was pretty episodic, yet we had many fun threads with that show.
>filename
I agree. Do we know what she’s working on now?
I sure don’t.
Didn't have time to watch much of anything lately and this show wasn't a high priority for me either. Lurking here changed my mind though and I'll try catching up asap for future threads.
Missing the last 2 episodes
Bless you, user. I hope you enjoy the show.
see:
You guys promise this is decent?
Yas Forums showed me Bluey and that was the cutest media that can and will ever be concieved
I don’t speak for everyone, but I can say with absolute certainty that It’s Pony is pretty fucking decent. Watch a few episodes and see for yourself.
its funny
hear! hear!
Oh, shit. They finally put Season 3 on Hulu?
b-bump??
This is one of the few cartoons that stands on the strength of its humor, and talking about those directly would just ruin them.
I could talk forever about how technically good the writing is, but I don't think people in general now appreciate it, and I don't care to start fights with the various fandoms and weirdo stans. I see what passes for good writing here, and I'm resigned to it. It's as futile as explaining the difference between Ghostbusters 1984 vs 2016 to people who don't understand jokes.
Because spongebob makes up for 5% of vaiacom's profits

... I really wish I hadn’t Google’d that just now
Sorry.
Man a new Nicktoon thats actually good?
Too bad this things already dead after getting a low of 420k and nobody talking about it outside of maybe Yas Forums.
Yes and I know “tvs dying” but Nick likes everything to be a smash hit to survive.
Godddd, why is the mom so fucking CUTE?!
Would it have helped if It’s Pony had gone straight to streaming instead?
Part of that appeal could be attributed to some resemblance to Johanna
Worked for Glitch Techs.
Yeah, but its also worth noting that Glitch Techs had some build up to its release thanks to all the artwork and stuff that was being posted online for ages while Nick messed around wondering what to do with the show.
Pony didn't really have that
Shut up, Misha.
A lot of similarities in tone between these two shows. Annie and Hilda even share the same affinity for oversized boots.
That’s true haha
Lol, Pony is such a goof. And that punchline was pretty great.
This will always be one of my favorite jokes of the show thus far.
Thanks my brother.
literally haven't heard of this show outside this thread, criminally underrated
That's a really cool poster. Is there an official upload or is that photo all we have?
Lol, I dunno
For me the best gags are the ones that run for the entire episode, like the chicken thing with the mom or the episode about the boot. It's that level of ambition which makes this show unique, and also difficult to explain to cartoon viewers with short attention spans.
It's Pony sets everything up, uses foreshadowing and irony liberally, and bookends the stories. This wit is something a certain recent lore-oriented fantasy show doesn't have, which makes all the world building in that feel empty and made up on the spot.
>every episode is written by the same three people
Keep these guys’ names on file, fellas. They know what they’re doing.
>Magda Liolis
>Producer, Kablam (1996)
>Bob Mittenthal
>Co-creator, Kablam (1996)
These are experienced people.
What about Ant Blades? He’s the creator, after all.
Ikr?
He was never good to begin with.
He basically started in that subpar late-90’s era where Nicktoons has fugly artstyles and were either annoying, mean-spirited slapstick comedies (SpongeBob, CatDog, Angry Beavers, The Brothers Flub) or boring SoLs, usually made by Klasky-Csupo. (The Wild Thornberrys, As Told By Ginger, Pelswick, Rocket Power)
>SpongeBob
>mean-spirited
Pick one.
I really like the Glitch Techs logo. The actual glitch effect it has is a nice touch.
I think I saw Tobi Wilson's name in one of the episode credits
Two words: Post-Movie
Technically, that's one word with a hyphen.
do they edit Squidward out of the show in your country?
>a voice of reason character to keep a goofy comedy grounded to a degree is "mean-spirited"
??
A'ight, I'm finally catching up on the previous two weeks' episodes, and I just wanted to say this moment was very cute.
oh, so you never watched that show. interesting.
>their last name is 'Bramley'
Then WHERE THE FUCK DID "MCLEACH" COME FROM?
As much as it sucks, good quality is hard to discuss beyond
>This is aspect is great!
>Yes, they achieved it by doing X
>That's interesting
And then any conversation will fade from there.
Speculation about lore or arcs, fantasizing about waifus, or just arguing about bad quality is just a lot more engaging with other people.
God, I love this show
Such a simple yet brilliant misdirect. It's not subverting expectations, it's boldly telling us our expectations are wrong.
Okay, this actually got a chuckle out of me. Time to watch it
>WHERE THE FUCK DID "MCLEACH" COME FROM?
Same place that ‘Kelsey Bern’ came from: out of somebody’s ass who then claimed it as fact by posting it on the series Wiki. It literally took until the name ‘Kelsey Pokoly’ was physically written on the screen for CotC fans to finally accept that it was her canon name, over twenty episodes after it had already been confirmed.
These are the same types of fans who’ll obsess over their dumb headcanons or possible hints of foreshadowing that turn out to’ve just been simple coincidences.
OP here, how the fuck is this thread still alive after 2 days?
Her nose grosses me out. Never watching this shit.
You’re weak. Go jerk off to your pseudo-animes.
This thread convinced me to give the show a try, funny webms and I like the art style.
Curse Mega and it's download limit but thanks a lot for the links.
>dat file name
Same brother
Unironically, do you think changes to the nose design might have improved this show's prospects with general viewers?
Not to imply the show is doing poorly, but the numbers aren't better than RiseTMNT when that was still on Nick.
OP, where the hell have you been? Did you just give up on your thread?
Kudos on the effort, but that looks fuckin gross
Some people are too concerned about cartoons noses, I remember it was kinda similar with Dipper from GF at first, saying it was Tumblr nose and all that.
But no, I don't think most would have a problem with it (I hope), it fits the art style.
Fuck alright, you've convinced me to give it a go. That was some pretty well choregraphed comedy.
So... where WAS the coin slot?
That's what I get for trusting the internet.
Here's your humanization, bro.
If you can't fap to a design like this, then you don't belong on Yas Forums.
I love that stupid shit-eating grin he always has on
SHUT THE FUCK UP!!
Gerry is cute! CUTE!
>miko_penny1
>penny
wait her name wasn't penny, jeez, i need to fix that for future posts, i only hear something like >penny

I can understand you not liking some of these things, but who the hell thinks sci-fi is automatically bad?
Also
>Mao Mao
>furries
Do you think the Looney Tunes are furries too?
>complaining about otgw because of the genre
>not because of Greg being an annoying crappy character
This is the best way to signal that you know nothing but just want to bitch.
Bump
The dream is still alive, good show my man
Don't you have some Lola Porn to go fap to Misha? lmao
Quit necrobumping, and just TALK about the show
I'm happy we finally have a canon surname for the family, but I still wish we could get this MILF's first name already. This is at least the second time they've stated that the dad is named George.
I was just making fun of all the Yas Forumsntrarians who’re constantly infesting this board with surface-level reasons for hating modern cartoons.
I’m actually a fan of all those shows listed, and it pisses me off when Mao Mao is brushed off as “furbait” simply because it stars anthropomorphic cartoon characters.
That’s a little more palatable than ’s efforts, though I’m still perfectly fine with the regular designs.
So, that Gumball movie’s never happening, is it?
I'm about 3 episodes in and I've gotten used to the noses. It's just part of the charm now. To the point that Annie nose redesign looks odd to me.
And I'm still fighting with Mega to only download the first episode yet.
I had no problem with the nose myself, just thought it'd be a fun thing to try editing
>this thread is still up
I'm proud of you, guys. Also, why is Annie so great?
The more stuff like this and Glitch Techs come out from Nick the more I realize Calarts is really only a Cartoon Network problem. On Disney it's pretty much isolated to Big City Greens.
>this and Glitch Techs
Why do so many people compare these 2 shows, being in the same channel or not? Not only in this thread. They are just so different.
I wasn't comparing it, I was just saying neither fit the beanmouth beanhead calarts mold which is a good thing for both
Why is Beatrice such a great friend? She's happy to outright give the shoes she's wearing without question. Does Annie deserve such a good friend?
No, I agree with that, it's really a good thing. I meant that people tend to compare them in other posts.
Annie doesn’t deserve shit.
Looks like a gross pimple, learn to appeal to people
>Does Annie deserve such a good friend?
Yes. Annie is great
Fuck you
I don't necessarily disagree that the noses are a bit weird but you get used to it. So, again, go jerk off to your pseudo-animes.
You must think SU and literally any other current CalArts-like cartoon is better designed but you are wrong.
you just KNOW
She certainly isn't shy to strangeness, so I can totally see that happening.
The duality of man
Thanks I’m enjoying these so far
How do they expect anyone to watch this? Animation is a visual medium, you have to be visually appealing. Looks like a zit you have to pop. SU honestly looks better. Fucking Big Mouth looks better.
>Fucking Big Mouth looks better.
>SU honestly looks better.
>Fucking Big Mouth looks better.
haha no
How the hell do you find porn for this show
I find it bad
What's wrong with the usual place?
I ask an artist buddy to draw it and some times they do
Why is Henrietta such a bitch?
You looked better back when you didn't post on image boards bashing cartoons based on how they look.
Simple: You don’t.
;(
She's not. She's the only sensible one in the show.
>George isn’t sensible
You sure ‘bout that?
He doesn't want to be. That episode where he hung out with Pony whilst Annie did the science project clearly demonstrated that he got up to exactly the same shenanigans. He wants to have the same adventures and not have to be a boring adult.
>Henrietta
God, that nose disgusts me. Why did they choose this? Who would this appeal to?
Ant Blades is from London. Does that help?
You mean you love Gerry right?
No, not really
Why don’t they use her often?
Calarts style never really invaded Nick but it was prevalent everywhere else a few years ago including on Disney with Gravity Falls and Star vs the forces of evil. Amphibia is still very Calarts influenced, but it seems like the style is starting to fade with shows like Glitch Techs, Owl House, and even nu Ducktales.
Fuck man they'd better couple up in a later episode, Clara is too aorable.
>On Disney it's pretty much isolated to Big City Greens.
In BCG's case, it's not inappropriate or poorly done. Some of the shows on CN just look terribly cheap and poorly drawn, and that's independent of style.
Same places as usual user. It's all Annie, Beatrice, and weirdly some Henrietta.
>weirdly
If anything, she's the more expected for me. Or maybe I just have weird taste.
>I'll come back for you two after I shoot the nut
w-was that a masturbation joke?
You are trying so hard, holy shit. This is physically embarrassing to read.
Accept the show looks awful
I think it was more just a joke about the nut sellar being crazy, as in nutty. But could be the other, not sure.
Amphibia's just barely outside the danger zone in my opinion. I get more of a Simpsons vibe from it.
>still no Mrs. Bramley porn
Maybe when she gets her focus episode and actually gets a first name.
One day bro, one day.
Why haven't Hilda fans gotten around to watching It's Pony yet? I feel like they'd appreciate it just fine, especially during the wait for S2.
As one of those Hilda fans, I had never heard of It's Pony before this thread. With Hilda, the biggest draw for me is that the main protagonist is actually competent, instead of every conflict disappearing if they stopped acting like an idiot all the time. It's Pony has honestly well written humor, but still suffers from the rule of cartoon stupidity, so it doesn't completely fill the gap left by Hilda. That said, the boots are cute so I'm totally on board.
They'd need a grooming bird if they had an elephant
Sorry for the ignorance, what is Hilda about? I wanted to give it a shot but I'm so late to the party I feel a bit discouraged. Seen such positive response that I'm really curious about it.
>dude what if the main character's best friend was their pet
>wait.. what if the pet was not a typical pet in the environment we chose?????
please explain why any of you are excited for something that seems so unbelievably generic holy shit
Young girl grows up in the mountains and struggles to fit in when they move to the city. The world is filled with creatures from Norse/Scandinavian folklore, and the characters have compelling personalities. Also, the art style is super comfy and has a relaxing color palette. One of the few cartoons I actually recommend to casual audiences who aren't already super into animation.
It's more about the amusing execution and genuinely funny jokes that come from the basic premise. If Lord & Miller have taught us anything, it's that there's always potential to make a weak or outright terrible idea GOOD.
fair enough
You should give it a try.
Just be sure to walk in expecting a humble, mundane comedy in a grounded setting backed by cartoon physics. I feel like many modern cartoon fans can’t accept shows like this anymore, and they get annoyed whenever it isn’t exactly like their precious lore-filled dramas. People seem to have forgotten that it’s 100% possible to enjoy both serialized cartoons and classic comedy cartoons; one genre isn’t necessarily better than the other.
Doesn't take much to check it out (mega is in this thread already), I'll admit nothing about it is unique, but it's honestly off to a solid start and got me off guard laughing a few times.
I do enjoy both, this just isn’t very good at being funny.
Thanks, user, it all sounds right up my alley.
Also Season 2 won't be coming out for at least a few months, and S1 is only 10 episodes, so it's a perfect time to catch up.
Fuck off, Misha.
Thank you for telling me, Misha, I thought it was more, I'll really have to check it out.
Isn't Season 1 thirteen episodes?
I wanna give Hilda a baby sibling
>FILE DELETED
What'd I miss?
It was that wojak meme where he's crying but with a smiling mask over.
Then why was it deleted if it didn’t have explicit nudity or blatant furbait? Are wojak reactions grounds for deletion now?
Saw some innocent posts in the Legend Quest get deleted for no reason too.
I'll assume it's just the janitor in turn.
Auto-saging Legend Quest thread, my bad.
While I'm not saying this show should have lore, I wouldn't mind a bit more general world/character building. Like we still don't even know the mother's name.
Now you are so small, and stupid looking!
What if slowly over time Annie and Pony start shifting their sensibilities to one another. Pony ends up the straight-man because of Annie's influence and vise-versa.
>main protagonist is actually competent
No shit she's a fucking marie sue and shti will solve by itself just because she stares at it long enough.
>OBEY ME OR ELSE
extremely embarrassing.
>Like we still don't even know the mother's name.
If it doesn't matter to the story, then it's just trivia, and fetishistic obsession with meaningless trivia is the worst thing about lorefags, or nerds in general.
If there's a reason for it to come up, then I'm sure it will.
This. It took 17 episodes before Mrs. Loud’s name was revealed as ‘Rita.’
I was about to mention her myself. Being teased with tiny scraps of development and anticipating big reveals like the parents' faces kept me invested in the series and once everything was shown I eventually dropped it.
>thread was still on Page 5 despite getting bumped less than five minutes ago, which is more recently than several threads above it in the Catalog
Are the mods intentionally trying to kill off this thread? That’s fucked up.
maybe but see
they purposely got that thread to auto-sage just so it died off and it was active
Why would they do that? What do the mods have against Las Leyendas?
Relax. Not every sage is automatic.
No idea, never saw it happen before but I saw the posts going on and the pages just getting lower until it 404'd.
Yeah the comedy is way better timed and choreographed than I expected. Been a while since I chuckled this much at a show. Otherwise it's not too remarkable.
She'll probably get her own focus episode, like the one for Gerry. Probably about her growing to like Pony or something.
There's an upcoming episode called Henriette Takes a Girlfriend apparently. Which could mean that a few people in this thread are going to be disappointed to find out some stuff about her. Or it's a generic episode about friendship, not sure.
I'd like her as a lesbian. Maybe that way she could finally be happy.
A small smile followed immediately by a return to being brooding would be cute.
Yes, very cute.
Huh is that title a parody of the film The Farmer Takes a Wife? If so, those are some oldass references.
>There's an upcoming episode called Henriette Takes a Girlfriend apparently.
What's the source for that? Cause after the whole 'McLeach' debacle, I'm not so quick to believe everything the internet says.
You might be right, there's nothing on the wikipedia page, just something on the fan wiki. So probably horribly wrong. We'll find out in a few weeks.
