just workout and get a pump loser

Why not both?

The only thing that matters is muscle soreness and training to failure.

They both serve different purposes.
Low weight high rep builds muscular endurance and builds mass.
High weight low rep forces you to activate as many muscle fibers as possible and mainly is for CNS training.
A proper program should include both in alternating phases.

It's best to do both

42

Medium weight medium reps and shadow box and sip water between sets

heavy 3 rep
super heavy 2 rep
maximum weight 1 rep

master race

high reps build mass, you're a special kind of stupid

High weight high rep

Only correct answer!

im doing high reps with my 9kg dumbbells (dont have more weight to put on them lol) GONNA GET BIG BOIS

Dont be retarded. You have to hold your breath for as long as possible while doing a single rep of 1lb, or 1kg if you're from England or Europe. Make sure to only rest for 2 seconds between sets for max gains.

Preferably high weight, low rep but it's best to alternate between the schemes if a lift stalls.

If you are not doing both you are doing it worng

it does though you tard

So dumm...

Highest weights as possible and highest reps as possible for so long as possible than take a shower, eat, drink, fuck. There is no magic behind this shit.

unironically this

based

High weight low reps. You dont see anyone thats big benching only 135 for 15, while you can bet your ass the guy benching 315 for 5 will look like he lifts.

why not both?

Low reps on big compounds. High reps on accessory lifts and isolations.

High weight high rep faggot

Low reps + heavy = mass gain, it also makes the muscle contraction, and the muscle itself harder, according to Arnold.
High reps+ light = more definition, more veins, etc

for beginners: high weight, low reps just to build a base of strength

for late beginner/early intermediate, high weight low reps on main days, with additional medium weight high reps on off days for additional volume.

do people seriously think you should only do one or the other?

4x8 or 4x12 on isos like curls and tri extensions? Like I can do do 8 with 32.5DB or 12 with 27.5DB. I feel like 8 is better because higher weight but 12 gets better pump

this discussion can't happen because retards will think that 5x5 is low reps

Read the sticky faggot

>CNS training.
underrated discussion point

How do I not end up like Alex Jones
He had a nice body and now he's a chonker

yup
not that it really matters that much, you can get big on high reps and lower reps but... yup

I do high rep + low weight for curls. I feel like I get better results but I’m not 100% sure. Can anyone else back this up?

Both. Warm up with 4x25 lat pulldowns, tricep extentions and dumbbell press. Then do bench for singles doubles or triples.

Wtf? Should I be spinning the weights like this when I curl? I always just stay supinated.

You're the stupid one

I have been working out for years, trying different combinations. What seems to work best for me is starting with a few sets of high weight low rep and then doing a few sets low weight high rep.

Sometimes I alternate (high, low, high, low, high, low)

This seems to give me the most intense burn.
