It's okay. The strength of it is how it's relatively interactive, or at least was before the new cards were added. It's also the most generous F2P card game, even beats Gwent before CDPR fucked it up. It's not terribly deep though and not really interesting decks to pilot. S'ok.

after this and valorant i’m less excited for the fighting game. they’re all just so... meh. soulless and too safe.
TFT too was awesome on launch because it was a shitty broken buggy mess but now it’s so polished, sterile and boring.
I think Riot is too focused on getting things “right” without realizing jank and stupidity is fun.

I mean I guess. I don't play those kinda games so I don't give two shits about LoL and don't know anything about it, but it seems like there's decent enough fluff in Runeterra. They do a nice enough job having storytelling/connections in card art, like how a bunch of the spider cards tell the story of that spider chick fucking that dude to death or whatever.
