It's a horror game, the first game was already bleak and not afraid to kill everyone, this looked darker from the start and had an outspoken "no fun allowed" mentality. Not sure what people expected if not misery porn. That was the reason I was even half-interested in it to begin with. Still not sure if I'll ever play it though.

I admit, I could be wrong. I remember 2 years ago, the BFV controversy did seems to result in a significant sales drop. It's not apples to oranges since 1) the controversy was based on openly marketed material (not plot leaks) and 2) EA had a ton of baggage outside of BFV anyway, but still, maybe there is more blending of "casual" vs. "hardcore" audiences nowadays.
So at this point I don't care if that's Ellie and she's actually trans, Ellie and just buff, or someone else. But not every character needs to be your fap material, ya know. There's a dozen other games full of sexy women to jerk off to.
