ok

mods fix this

I dare you to name a mod that fixes this.

He wouldn't stop being a criminal
Fargoth knows exactly the kind of trouble he's in.
He doesn't have higher-ups
The note is irrelevent

Yeah the quests and writing and all that are bad in Morrowind
Combat is sadly no good either

It's basically all art design, it looks far more interesting than any other Elder Scrolls game certainly
Not much fun to actually play though

>He doesn't have higher-ups
is he the highest ranked official in the entre military?

>Bethesda game
>Good combat
pick one

>expecting a video game to give you that much freedom even if it's an RPG
May I suggest tabletop RPGs instead, OP?

I'm just saying that it's not the type of game where you don't care about the writing because you have so much fun running around and killing guys and whatnot
You play it to look at the giant mushrooms

He's not asking that much honestly, I think I did the same thing as him when I found the note and was disappointed nobody would talk to me about it

>This video game from 2002 doesn't offer the very specific roleplaying options I want
get friends and play tabletops ya simp

even a quarter of these options would be better than the two (do the quest or don't) we have

Morrowindfags are the most delusional anons on Yas Forums. They've gone decades uncontested in their delusion because Oblivion and Skyrim are easier to shit on so they think their game isn't also shit. The truth is that Elder Scrolls is only fun as a casual sandbox RPG and not a single Elder Scrolls game actually has decent depth or roleplaying.
There are plenty of video games that give you more than two options to solve a quest. Even something more modern and casualized like New Vegas offers half a dozen solutions to nearly every quest.

okay please tell me how the year the game came out in excuses shit writing?

mw.modhistory.com/download-70-3650

???
there are a lot of older games with far far deeper role playing, how is asking for more than a single option to resolve a quest a lot?
Morrofags really do defend this...

If you need to flex your mega-autism for roleplaying it is why D20 exists. Expecting a video game to provide near limitless RP options is retarded.

WRONG daggerfall is great

>mod that adds one option to the game
wow, kino

>super basic options provided by tons of other RPGs that predate Morrowind
>near limitless
why even have video game RPGs? i guess if i want something with more RP potential than Call of Duty i should just stick to pen and paper

>more than two
>LIMITLESS
It doesn't have to be perfect but it should be better

>This one cherrypicked example from someone with mental illness proves an entire game is bad
ok

>the first sidequest you see after starting the game
>cherrypicked

Morrowind is full of fundamentally unimmersive bullshit like this. It boggles my mind how its touted as this great RPG. Just the fact that NPCs don't have sleep cycles, something that iso CRPGs were able to manage in the fucking 80s, is unreal. Its so outdated even for its time and it completely kills the experience.

Yeah, I bet you’re gearing up for another Geneforge playthrough right this instant. No one is playing 90s isometric or top-down RPGs in current year except idiots like me.

morememe has superior memetic potential
only thing oblivion had going for it meme wise were shitty faces
true enlightmend comes from realiwation that all bethesda games are only good for mods, memes and lore (and maybe waifus)

What's the APPEAL of Morrowind?
Can't be the combat, even if you don't hate it there's nobody in the world who thinks it's above average or better.
Can't be the graphics, they were sub-par even for the time (look at gothic 2)
Can't be the level design, most boring dungeons in the entire series.
Can't be the dialogue, all the NPCs are glorified Wikipedia entries.
Can't be the quests, see OP's pic.
What is there that's even left?

>There are plenty of video games that give you more than two options to solve a quest. Even something more modern and casualized like New Vegas offers half a dozen solutions to nearly every quest.

Then play something else you stupid idiot. Hurp durp different game has different thing durp hurr, no fucking shit.

Morrowind is a terrible roleplaying game.
>muh spears
>muh armor slots
>muh broken magic spells
Too bad roleplaying requires the game acknowledging who the fuck your character is, what your character wants to do, and Morrowind sucks at it.

nice art style, but that's it honestly

RPGCodex goons cannot limit their faggotry to one place apparently

So you admit your so called RPG is a bad RPG then?

If this was any other RPG you’d be bitching as well. Fuck off morrowfag

>nice art style
You'd be better off looking at concept art then, at least it wouldn't be limited by the graphics engine.

Defend what?

It's retarded to think they're going to be able to code every single option you can think of into a game, it would make production times massive especially if you autists expect (and I know you will) paragraphs of exposition to go with each one.

Oblivion, by the way, is a million times better than Morrowind and Skyrim combined.

>This broken ass Bethesda game with shitty roleplaying is better than this other broken ass Bethesda game with shitty roleplaying
smoothbrain with unrealistic expectations for baby's first RPG spotted

People only say morrowind has depth because the location looks unique. If they shoved a bunch of weird mushroom trees that sang hozier or some shit you would be singing it’s praises

see

Darksydephil is doing a morriwind playthrough and I swear he’s playing it like I assume everyone who bitches about morrowind is playing it. Just spams attacks with no stamina

I like looking at Morrowind concept art more than I like playing Morrowind
Wasn't defending the game by any means, but I think the weird huts people live in and stuff is what I liked about it

>If you don't like Morrowind you're dsp

Defend what?

There's like 500 quests and then a whole bunch of unscripted or unmarked shit. You sit down and simultaneously write/code each one of those to have 5-6 options.

Either bait or unrealistic expectations.

That and nostalgia
I can imagine really getting into this game when you are a small child who doesn't know how video games work and thinks it's all limitless and magical

No I'm telling you to play something that suits your tastes better and stop acting like a child. There's plenty of things to do and roleplay in Morrowind, and if that's not good enough for your delicate tastes then that's just too bad.

>new vegas
the beyond the beef quest can break at practically any step without mods. the truth is that if you actually cared about actual roleplaying you wouldn't be playing bethesda games at all

>arch.b4k.co/v/search/image/qHuxE2oabiMF8F71y1YFMA/
KYS FAGGOT

Name one game. Drop one RPG title with library of meaningful dialogue options to choose from. Oh you mean RPGs like Baldur's Gate or Fallout? Surely you know the production of those games is much smaller than in Morrowind. If your argument is that because Morrowind is not some kind of Molyneux tier everything-simulator and therefore Morrowind is bad, you can go suck kwama egg and choke on it.

>new Vegas
>Bethesda
Aight

Oblivion is great. Best mission designs of any of the TES games.

It's a big game.
But yes, if Gothic II had the size of Morrowind, it would be the only game I would ever need to play.
