Final Fantasy VII Flopped?

Final Fantasy VII Flopped?
Part 2 is cancelled right?

>cancelled
they are just going to cut on the cost with the assets (conveniently that second disk is in the wasteland anyway) and complex battle puzzles.

I have the greatest idea ever. Sell the FF IP to a competent studio.

It sold better than XV Barry.

part 2? pretty sure they fucked up the story intentionally so there wouldn't be demand for part 2

Eat a bullet.

this, the future of FF is just plain old dead as it is

getting pretty sad seeing all these nomura cock suckers ruin a perfectly good meme with their cope, most people on the board are saying the game is shit, are they all barry in your schizophrenic head?

FFXV shipped 5 million at launch but didn't sell even half of them.

FF7R completely sold out its physical copies, it suffered from shortages due to the crisis.

Article is misleading and retarded. 7R is going to outsell XV in the long run.

Barry unironically makes about half of the posts and 90% of the threads whining about this game.

The board as a whole loves the game, as we have seen whenever someone posts a strawpoll.

All they had to do was follow the story

>People are frothing at the mouth for a remake for years
>Finally announce one after years of cock teasing
>5 years later FF7: Midgar Only is released
>A lot of fans have gotten over their desire for a remake and/or are pissed the remake is part 1 of 3 or 4
Square was a little too late and way too short

Was FFXV also a PS4 exclusive at launch?

>as we see whenever someone reposts a strawpoll on a ff7 related sub reddit
Easily manipulated retard. Most of Yas Forums quite clearly has been shitting on it for almost 2 weeks now non stop. Are you pretending you didnt notice all the time janny threads before mods started deleting them because there were so many?

this Reddit poll can't even get more than half approval

another gamefaqs. pretty sure it's more than just Barry, 7r-kun

I mean the game is such a joke that this poll even exists

no, but there are 100million PS4 now, compared to 50m then. with 25m Xbox

>Not liking whispers = not liking the whole game
>Being retarded and not reading the text on the back of case or reading any of se's announcements for the 5 years leading up to the game = not liking the game
LMAO

All they need to do is stop letting Nomura direct games. He's clearly washed out and just wants to focus on Kingdom Hearts and Versus 13

Yes because there was a pandemic whem XV came out right?

Im sure its doing well all things considered Barry.

Oh yeah people were scared off when they learned it was not a remake.

>7R is going to outsell XV in the long run.
It might but it might not and if it does it won’t be by much. Second week sales in Japan were 70k and down the normal 90%. That’s not because of “stock shortages”, that’s the normal drop for a JRPG or FF game. Nobody on social media is talking about it anymore, everybody is back to Animal Crossing on social media.

Here are the things you need to keep in mind. FF is a series in decline that’s seen a multiple shitty installments in over the past decade plus. FF7 was popular and beloved over 20 years ago. Some younger people have played it, most have not. FF7R appeals to a specific demographic, one in their 30s and 40s. Most of the core FF audience bought FF7R along with a chunk of curious nostalgic gamers and a few others who fell for the hype. FF fans are the only ones still talking about the game and making shitty threads here and on retardera (but not social media) and boasting of these sales and “word of mouth”. They are desperate for it to continue to be relevant even though it peaked and it’s over until the next one. Word of mouth doesn’t work for goofy JRPGe with convoluted stories that otherwise appeal to nobody except fans

I'd write a Final Fantasy inspired novel.

I'm working on a Shenmue one.

What compels Yas Forums to shill so adamantly for games? do you niggers get paid by devs or do it for free?

>Yes because there was a pandemic whem XV came out right?
A pandemic that increased video game sales all around. PS4 and XB1 hardware sales were up 20% compared to last year (in North America). Switch sold at least a couple million units last month. Pandemic didn’t stop Animal Crossing, it boosted it.

>Part 2 is cancelled right?
God if fucking only.

Lots of them are shills, yeah. Honestly I think Square is paying them considering how often stupid bullshit the fans would NEVER come up with gets repeated.

Like that weird theory that was going around about how Shinra had ALWAYS destroyed their own reactor but it wasn't clear in the original release.
