I actually think that ruined it. I already prepared myself the minute it came out that it wasn't going to have NPCs, that we were the only humans. Now all that lore and explanations go to the trash.

To be fair, that bug has literally been in pretty much every Bethesda game they've made since Oblivion. They just never fixed it because you, the player, would be dead already, so it didn't matter if NPCs looted your corpse.

Eh. They'll more than likely fix it now that it's an issue that does impact people's items. They were very fast to fix the issue of hackers stealing other players' items, and even helped those players get their items back.
Sounds like the game is mostly getting your items stolen and waiting for a patch

I've clocked in 19 hours in 2 days and I didn't even start the quests until today. DESU I'm just doing it for the stealth armor and bows mostly but some of the quests were pretty cool, and some of the writing is honestly pretty interesting. I like Overseer's character the most probably. She reminds me of Tandi a bit. Overall the writing has lots of vibes from Fallout 1 and 2, like the whole plot about gold currency. I always like the world building that centers around NCR and I am honestly seeing parallels here.
