You're tasked with creating MGS 3: REMAKE what do you change?

As the game progresses, it breaks down into a VR simulation. You play as yet another clone of Big Boss and the whole point is to try to recreate everything with the perfect conditions. Tie in the Boss AI that's reclaimed in MGSV as the big orchestrator of this event. Make it a tongue-in-cheek game. Gut punch twist is that you were never sure if the AI was just trying to logically go through the motions of remaking Big Boss, or if it was the Boss genuinely wanting a second chance.

Everything about it is the same except the jungle is more open and explorable which allows for you to approach outposts with a similar amount of freedom as MGSV. The missions and story remain the same.

This. Even 4, a 2008 game has them. 5 is basically a 2001 game with pretty 2015 graphics.

Let's be honest, it's practically where MGS is taking the setting and if you were to do a "REMAKE" of a good game, might as well roll with it.

Probably nothing, just improve the graphics and make the game run at 4K 60fps. At most I would like to change some of Snake's dialogue to drop the stupid "I'll just repeat the last word of what you just said" shit, but given that it might require some re-recording where the voice actors might fuck up, it's probably better to not mess up with it.

Add MGSurvive elements
Remove Kojima from the credits as well as any references to his name in the game.

Add more content for Snake vs. Monkey, pave the way for Ape Escape Remastered.

The Boss must become a guy. Everything about her is cringe and cancerous. Also no more le funny MGS retardation. A much more serious plot with mild humor being okay instead.

I'd make the framerate good for starters.

Turn it into a strand game.
