>GameBoy
Games are more expensive than ever.
Cart based handheld consoles like the game boy and game boy advance had $15 MSRP on release day games, those were sold physical only on cartridges which is more expensive to manufacture than discs, and had a much smaller and less brainwashed customer base. No excuse to charge for a license to download

The one that just keeps going and going and going and going and going and going.

>batteries

I have the rechargeable battery pack

Whatever batteries were around the house or what I could take from other electronics without pissing off the folks.

Those cheap off-brand ones. Because fuck buying expensive batteries.

Energizer. Unless you're a Duracell fag like here.

Whatever I have available on hand.

So now that the dust has settled, which battery brand is actually the best, Energizer or Duracell?

Man, I haven't needed to buy disposable batteries in a long time. Thank god for usbs and chargeable batteries.

Crappy dollar store batteries that burned out in like 4 hours because I was dirt poor. (well, actually we weren't but my mom put 90% of her money into slot machines so we were effectively poor)

i dig around the kitchen "junk drawer" for five minutes until i find two batteries and hope they work and if not i pout about it because i'm 5

Panasonic

Whatever brand is in my house.

Bro I had a Gamegear and that shit ate through 6 AAs in 3 hours

unironically it's duracell

whatever my parents bought

rechargeable energizers

yikes

black and silver eveready

>Gameboy
That thing was attached to the wall 99% of the time with a power plug.

Switching the dead batteries in it in hope of a little more charge

This, and putting them in my window while I was at school so they got charged back

Some local brand rechargeables. It was pretty much the only choice since we always went to a third world country for vacation for 2-3 months a year, and if you bought batteries over there they had a pretty high chance on fucking exploding.

Because fucking EVERYTHING ran on them so demand was very high.

For me it was Bossman.

have sex incels

zero reason for these in a gameboy, wasting your money for the exact same battery life

Whichever my mommy or daddy buy me :3

Were you the person who lost/broke the battery cap on the back of the gameboy or the one who kept it

yikes

High demand because everything required them back then.

Now everything is lithium ion rechargeable batteries so demand for disposable alkaline batteries is low.

masking tape battery cap master race reporting

Uh none cos I'm not gonna be alive for 3 more years???

Mine broke and then I stole a new one from the Jewish dweeb.

It was 1999 used them because

these are just duracell cells with a different wrapping, so yes these are basically just duracells

i still have my purple GBA with scotch tape on the battery cover

>that one kid who threw away his cover and just helf the batteries in with his hands while playing

whatever my parents bought. Energizer mostly since Grandma had stock in that company

My younger siblings were the reason anything got lost or broke.

Literally 'MOM SAID ITS MY TURN TO PLAY'

put in a backlight, modded battery, amplifier, and speaker

>battery comes with a charge indicator
>break your thumbs pushing the contact down for 15 seconds to read remaining charge

my dad is putting a cum battery inside my mum

Rechargable.

I loop them back and forth with my other ones and I can play forever.

The latch on mine broke, but I used scotch tape to keep it in place and still have it all in tact. I still play one of the Game and Watch Gallery games a few times a week and also put in Ghost Babel or Kirby's Tilt'nTumble some times

duracell
only the FINEST double a's for my gbc

As the youngest sibling I humbly apologize on behalf of yours. We're terrible people.

I'm from the UK and Duracell was always the best. I see a lot of people posting Energizer in here, but they were on the same tier as no-name batteries you buy at poundland, so I don't know if they are different in the US, but they were always less than great in my experience. Apparently Energizer works better in clocks than Duracell, but in every other application Duracell is better, though I have no idea how or why that works. Also, to be honest, I was really at the mercy of whatever batteries my parents bought for me to use, but I knew when I had some Duracells lined up, they were going to last a long time.
