Wew the changes they made from this to 3 are drastic in a good way. Having everything up to Alabasta montage'd feels a bit weird but that would make this story-mode super fucking long.
Still salty about the lost characters, but the gameplay is pretty much making up for it, though my thoughts drift to thinking how much fun Enel would be in this iteration.
Still can't believe they don't give you a free camera for the character model gallery
>Still can't believe they don't give you a free camera for the character model gallery who cares they're still using the same models from the last games
>kuzan is one of my favorite characters >think kuzan is bad in 4 >keep trying him to learn what he can do >find out he has best air move in game with SSSST That move destroys everything, along with partisan it makes him like an S tier at crowd control. They just need to fix his new grapple super and he'd best overall a S tier character.
my girlfriend absolutely loves musou games but she has never watched one piece and she's not particularly great at air comboing or anything like that. I've seen a lot of people say this is the best musou ever, can anyone explain why other than the air comboing that I can see in the trailers?
The characters don't seem particularly likeable, is there a lot of stuff to unlock or a base to customize or anything like that?
Benjamin Murphy
also does this game run 60fps on ps4 pro?
Anthony Davis
Yes, full burst turns everyone to stone very easily.
because it's faster and there are air combos, the new skill system is pretty neato too.
"faster than light" guy is slow as fucking shit in this game unless you are in Full Burst mode. Actually the majority of the cast are slow as fuck when not bursting but Kizaru is soooo sloooow.
Jordan Ross
I just noticed it has a $30 character pass on steam. Man, nevermind.
Mason Nelson
Kizaru was god tier in 2 but feel wrong in 4, he's good but not as good as he should be.
Gabriel Lee
There's so little to do in this game that by the time the characters will come out everybody who was into the game will have 100 percented it. They didn't say they are including new story/adventure stages with the characters either unlike with the Nintendo musous.
Jaxon Clark
>Think Robin is shit >Unlock Moths and Izuna Drop >Melt bosses like nobody's business >Her giant feet attack is amazing for crowd control >You can double your range/damage if you learn how to position the clones properly She's probably the best tech type in the game so far, which is good considering she was almost useless in 3
ill just pirate it when thats possible, these games are so low effort/poorly engineered/repetitive in general that it just makes my blood boil to see a fucking $30 character pass.
Christopher Rodriguez
I used pre-ts Robin more than her NW version in PW3. She was one of the characters who were basically created for Kizuna attacks and bursting since she refilled meters like crazy. Her nut crush attack usually 1-2 KO'd most bosses too. She's great in PW3 but she's definitely one of the characters I miss her triangle combos for. That C1-2 grab attack had a ton of applications in the last game.
The one PW4 character I really dislike compared to their past versions is Nami. Even fully maxed out I would rather play her PW3 version instead.
Nathan Gonzalez
I pirated it too but they really did improve the gameplay. If they didn't have all this DLC I would have bought it after trying it out lol
already 100%'d everyone's growth map and S'd all stages including treasure log. got it on release day for full price too.
Chase Thompson
I'm working on getting every character done now. Money is the biggest issue as I can't find a stage that gives more than 2-3 million a go and that's not enough to get a character's two maps done in one shot.
Caleb Fisher
Even if she doesn't know One Piece well, it's still a great musou game. If she actively dislikes One Piece, then I'd recommend a different. After all, half of the appeal is the fan service of controlling your favorite characters from the show. Personally, I started hoping for a musou when I read this page.
He is. Kaku and Jabra when?
Kizaru was always super laid back. Funny that him and Kuzan have that in common, just in different capacities.
Kizaru wasn't as slow in previous games though. They also changed his moveset around and combined several attacks into one which means several attacks can miss due to enemies falling out of it or just plain moving out of the way. At least Akainu is still stupidly strong and I would say he's even better than he was in the past two games. They took the nerf bat HARD to Fujitora though.
Gabriel Foster
Same, even at full power she feels weak to me, i can't figure out what her gameplan is. On the other hand every straw hat not named Chopper is way more fun here. I specially like preTS Sanji, he's one of the few characters that has two force bursts, running around the stages activating a burst after another is fun as fuck, not to mention it gives you more crew points and with a certain skill you'll essentially have a permanent attack boost
er, meant she's great in PW4. Wish she had more variety in her attacks though (making the C2 or C3 be the hand slam triangle combo I was talking about would have been great).
Juan Ortiz
Yeah but it's slow and it misses and you get hit while doing it so no point.
Gavin Lopez
she likes playing as cute girl characters, it looks to me like almost every character in this is some deformed ass dude
Adrian Gray
You have Nami, Robin, Hancock, Tashigi, Reiju and.. Big Mom.
Dylan Scott
You have And if that's not enough for her then good news! Best girl is on her way
