Yeah, but Hamon didn't involve outsmarting the enemy, it just involved making up a new ability to conclude the fight most of the time. That happens with Stands sometimes too, but them having more clearly defined, unique abilities makes it so some smart thinking is actually required to outsmart the enemy.

Just because some Stands are extremely powerful doesn't mean that Stands are bullshit. Made in Heaven and Weather Report still have to respect their domains, even if the leniency on what Weather can do does get a bit too lax. They bend time and the atmosphere. Are they supposed to be weak?

To be fair, The World and Star Platinum are the only ones of their look in SDC. The stands are quite unique in part 3 but 4 onward brought in a lot of similar looking humanoid stands. Also there is the whole Johnathan's stand is like Hermit Purple and DIO's is the World.
