Where my 1060bros at?
Where my 1060bros at?
why get this when you can have a 5700xt for the price
It didn't exist in the fall of 2017 when I bought the card.
sorry fellas, too busy being a 1070ti chad
sitting here waiting for this virus shit to blow over so i can upgrade
>MFW everyone spends their trumpbux on new cards and there's no stock
is a 5700 overkill for 1080p/60fps?
i was looking at a 1660 super but hear a lot of good things about the 5700
This has been my path.
1060 did well.
I'm getting a switch to homebrew the fuck outta with my Trumpbux
Nah, getting "overkill" for 1080/60fps is good future proofing. If it's overkill now that means you won't need to upgrade for future games to still get 60+fps max settings in the coming years
>x1300
>hd5770
Yeah. Any day now I'll have to upgrade
That's fair. Is there a good way to tell if my current cpu is going to bottleneck a card? I have a 4670k and heard that bottleneck calculators are no good.
Kinda depends on your board too, but I'd definitely upgrade soon. 5700 is a good board, and you'd still get great frames with a 4670k, especially if you overclock, but you wouldn't be using your rig to it's fullest.
>5700 is a good board
great card, I have autism
1060 6GB
16GB DDR4
i5 7400
I Think I'll keep my 1060 around a little longer, I want a new CPU first.
Aw. Cocodemon is CUTE.
>TFW your 3570k couldn't even support DDR4
I'm finally an AMD autist tho.
I only buy AMD cards and CPUs.
FUCK Intcels
FUCK Nshittya
I have a RTX2080 in my desktop, and a GTX1060Ti for my laptop. The GTX1060Ti performs surprisingly well if you stick to 1080p.
5700xt's have hardware faults and amdrones keep saying "just undervolt" and amd also admitts that line has freezing issues which are still uncorrected to this day - basically rolling the dice getting one of those cards
Guys i dont think my build will hold up at 1080p 144hz for next couple years should i downgrade to 60hz monitor? apparently 60 fps looks bad on 144hz monitor or am i getting memed? do i set the desktop hz to 120?
I have a 1060 6gb.
What do you want my homie.
why
DO NOT BUY PC PARTS NOW PRICES ARE UP
Is EVGA the god tier hardware manufacturer?
when should I plan to upgrade bros, ill miss this little nigga
I trascended my 1060 days, now I'm using a 5700XT. I regret my decision, but at least now I know that AMD really is a shit company when it comes to polishing a product, and that's why I'll buy nvidias next beast, no matter the price, since they have proven time and time again that they have no real competition in terms of product quality.
AMD drones will now crawl up from the woodwork talking about price to performance or whatever it is they feel makes AMD better, and to that, I can only say that AMDs GPUs feel like a shitty car. They fulfill their purpose, but it's not a pleasant experience. I have DDU'd my pc about 4 or 5 times. I no longer get bluescreens out of nowhere, but even then, their software is shit and digging around it will more often than not end up fucking up your boot once the bluescreen happens.
In my 3 years with a 1060, I literally overclocked it once, left it there, and it worked perfectly until I bought the 5700xt. I can't return it and the second hand market in my area sucks, so I'm stuck with it until the 3000s, if I don't plug my 1060 again before then.
Every wave is wait until next wave.
There's nothing wrong with going big this wave.
A 2080s would last for years.
RTX was a meme and the cards are beefy because of it.
4k gaming is now, VR is here, devs just aren't on board with either yet.
user GET OUT OF THERE.
Right here. The 6gb version plays everything I want at full 1080p.
The 1060 is such a meme card. The RX 580 does a way better job for a lot less cost.
right here
too bad my cpu keeps bottleneckingme
evening
Can I apply for Trumpbucks as a European?
NO!
There's literally no difference between them. Go for the cheapest, or you're a fucking retard
inb4 "ackshually you get 0.35 niggahurts mooooore on this brand which is 25% more expensive! And it has cool gamer LEDs!"
> tfw got a Nitro+ 8GB for 140€
Feels good and bad at the same time
im here
TIMESTAMP FOR EMPHASYS
Basado
i just play fighting games and older non demanding games. my card still serves me very well.
Only if you're 44% non-white.
1080ti here, but only gaming at 1080p
I won't upgrade to a 4k monitor until there is a card that can max all setting and still get 144 fps
Fuck
Never buy an AMD card unless you run Linux.
If you run Linux, only buy an AMD card.
1660 super
1080p/144hz, i'm happy
>107 °C
there's a difference in cooler types retard, if you get the bottom tier one you're gimping your performance
This is actually why I just bought a 2070S instead of a 5700xt. Everywhere you look is full of people having issues with the 5XXX line. When I saw that their cards can't even run older games a lot of the time (and totally shit the bed on DX9 somehow, so forget enjoying classic games without spending all your time tinkering) I just gave up on the idea.
I had a GTX 680 for 8 years, I just plugged it in, overclocked, and it was pure bliss for the entire time. Nvidia is actually worth the extra.
Speccy doesn't handle ryzen too well, same thing with ram timings.
inno3d iChill 1060 6GB pleb reporting
Still going strong with pic related. Still haven't found a videogame making me want to upgrade. If/ when I do: it won't be just the card: it got to be the whole shabang at once too - so: that's a hassle and expensive - just holding out fot that one game that's going to make me.
Where the 2060 bois at
Bet no one has a bigger bottleneck than me
I was about to buy a Ryzen 5 3600 and a new mobo but this quarantine has fucked me
used i7 maybe if u can get it cheap.
>Palit
Do these bargain bin brands actually make decent cards?
I was looking at a 7700 but it'd be around the same price for a new 3600 and a mobo
What is a good program to measure temps for a ryzen cpu. HWiNFO and Ryzen Master give me some pretty wild differences. Like 20 to 30C difference.
bros I really want a 2070 Super but I know the 3000 series is coming soon
I just want 1080p 144hz and a bit of 1440p future-proofing so should I even wait?
AMD Adrenalin software. Nothing else works. Piece of shit, I swear.
I doubt the 3000 series is releasing this year or will even be announced at all
Yo
cause of rona? maybe i'll just give in and buy it with my trumpbux
960 -> 1660 ti here
>cause of rona?
most likely
>with my trumpbux
get a 2080 Super then
1660 Super gang wya?
For the price, nothing beats the 5700XT right now, and it should last many years against the new games coming out.
They can play 1080 maxed, 1440 nearly maxed, and 4k at reasonable settings.
The power consumption is a bit more than NVidia's offerings, but desu, the difference isn't that great in the long run.
The Powercolor cards are great.
>Every wave is wait until next wave.
I haven't upgraded my graphics card since 2011.
