Battlefield 6 should be announced this year, what are your hopes and expectations?

It's faster than BF4's with more satisfying sounds and a quicker recovery, plus it doesn't have a lame QTE

I hope it's good, and has good complex squad and commander systems that allow there to be some semblance of tactics instead of it being call of duty with a larger map and vehicles

I expect it to be a steaming pile of garbage, heaped in poor balancing, an annoying SJW advertising campaign, and monetization out the ass

Id like a cold war gone hot scenario set in the early 80s. They would probably ruin the guns with rails and reddots though, i cant even play BFV because people are running around with ww2 guns that have fictional red dot sights and extended mags attatched.

next major battlefield title isn't released until next year because they want to support bf5 first. we probably gonna get a new tides of war chapter announcement instead for this year. if they gonna announce a new bf game it will be next year. it will be a miracle if they at least show a teaser

Battlefield 6 should take place in the not so distant future just like BF4 did. I want modern guns, a weapon customization system just like in BF4 but hopefully we can get more than one attachment on a gun.
Also the graphics of the newer Frostbite engine and maps where the weather can change like in BF1 (maps could be sunny, rainy or foggy).
I really hope it will be a modern setting. It's been almost 7 years since BF4 came out.

DICE is beyond saving, many key personell has left the company and the current leadership is absolute trash. It is not the same DICE as you knew 10 years ago. I seriously hope the company goes bankrupt and EA shuts it down.

BFF is literally unplayable from hackers unless they fixed it recently. Every goddam map has at least 3 chink hackers mass killing everyone. Only point to play now is to see who has better hacks each match.

I don't care if it's realistic (because none of them are), but I want it to be authentic. And to have some authenticity for ww1 it doesn't have to be just boring trench warfare. But running around with machine guns, smg's and semi-auto rifles at worst is not authentic by any means.

The hip-fire wasn't completely useless either with a much tighter spread than what usually passes for hip-fire these days, since devs think shooting from the hip == shooting 90degrees away from the target

Only United Offensive (and to an extent 3) had good "Battlefield" modes

regarding what you said about hip firing, I think it should be kinda inaccurate but not the way devs do it now. The way it works for example in red orchestra2 is very good imo, the gun doesn't suddenly shoot like it's barrel is just about to fall off, but it takes some practise to determine where you are shooting from the hip, because your point of aim changes by mouse movement instead of being dead center the whole time.
