I-It's completely barebones and has way less features than Warband!

>I-It's completely barebones and has way less features than Warband!
God you people are fucking stupid.

>Kingdom management is completely new
>Polcies are completely new
>Influence is a new resource and allows you to do things you either couldn't do in Warband or were awkward to do, like
>>Remove support from faction
>>Remove fiefs from faction with too many
>Clans as a whole and Clan management is entirely new
>Multiple parties for your clan is new
>Raising relations with Clans rather than individuals is way less tedious
>Having multiple individual actors to raise relations with in each town
>Skill tree system is mechanically more complex
>Greater quest variety, even if they're still bland
>Not all quests are from nobles
>literally the entirety of smithing
>Tournaments offer unique items rather than just being free money
>Tournaments aren't a piss-easy way to cheese the entire early game anymore
>Economy is noticably more dynamic
>Sieges are massively improved
>AI actually uses tactics in field battles instead of blindly charging
>Max unit limit in battle increased from 150 to 1000
>Drastically improved engine and mod support
>more yet to come

stop buying/pirating games that aren't done yet.

can you marry your sister?

a patch a day keeps the pirates away

Why?
It's already more fun than Warband was.

Problem is a lot of those features aren't apparent to people until quite a few hours in, especially for people new to the series. I remember playing Warband and not knowing I could become a vassal for any of the kingdoms, so I literally spent my first 12 hours just dicking over Sea Raiders and wondering how to get a castle of my own without aggro'ing any of the kingdoms

How's the multiplayer?

But the enemy always charges and archers refuse to shoot at random occations. The AI dumbs itself down the more people are on screen. The AI is actually WORSE than warband.

fuck yes

>buying
yes
>pirating
why? its free

You can marry your cousin.

anyone else notice companions skilling up incredibly fast?

when i recruited most of my gang they were same skill as me, around 30 one handed. now they're all around 150-200 skill while im at 65

we are up to date

>Blacksmithing has stamina

It needs to be said, armor just makes it so a sword or arrow has less of a chance to kill you by piercing or cutting you up. It does fuck-all against blunt trauma. Why do you think maces were such a popular weapon against armored targets? Getting a hammer to the face, chest or back still transfers all of the force of the blow directly into your body. The protection against that kind of force is minimal, and thrown rocks can easily break your bones or knock you out despite armor.

The only thing worse than getting bashed with a hammer was when they decided to put a small spike on the hammer to create the crowbill, putting all the force on a sharp point. A fucking can opener for taking down heavily armored targets.

Attached: crowbill hammer.jpg (1910x1232, 46.31K)

i've been enjoying bannerlord a lot, but as someone who loves having walls of archers to mow down the enemy, this "no fire" shit is fucking annoying

A bit confusing. Sieges felt more like sieges in Warband, at least from the defender's perspective.

just give me a fucking link to pirate + updates and I'll be happy

You ever been hit with a rock? It's not that bad.

Attached: hammer man.jpg (807x605, 67.46K)

That's because people don't utilize all the things they can do now. Like endless arrows from the arrow buckets, throwing hot oil and fire bombs, pushing down ladders and firing onagers at the attackers (if built).

Yes, I have. It clocked me in the temple and knocked me out. I had to get four stitches.

>onage
It's ownage, and it's a dead meme. Get off the internet gramps and go what some G4TV

Give me one reason to use caravans.

>got brain damage from a rock
Why am I not surprised? Why do so many Mountain Blade players have experience being hit with rocks?

I love and am thoroughly addicted to the game, but let's not pretend it doesn't have some problems. I'm just happy to overlook those elements because I enjoy it, but I can see why others wouldn't be.
Mods/DLC/Patches will fix it is NEVER an acceptable excuse.
Although, no game that spends years in development comes out well for it. After 12-18 months your graphics and engine are outdated, which means rebuilding or trying to make the engine perform better than it was meant to. Considering this, Bannerlord came out fairly well off when compared to similar cases.

But they don't always charge when you're fighting actual armies.
My understanding of the archer thing is that it's linked to time of day and is supposed to simulate reduced visibility at nighttime.

Free money. Why not?

competent pirates only have to wait 20 minutes to an hour at most for the updates bruv

>Not all quests are from nobles

Be, honest. Did you actually play Warband?

Hey, Aserai are good now.

Attached: 65-1585875059-1271278353.png (1484x924, 1.56M)

No wonder you think armor doesn't protect against rocks.

I just want to level up my skills, bros
My charm won't go up. Leveling in general is a chore

Attached: 1584928799240.jpg (750x682, 53.94K)

The combat got worse

You got worse, I'm fucking niggers up in the arena.

>start new game
>barely five guys in my army
>some random mook in the north I never heard of declares war on me
The fuck?

so why has no engineer designed a weapon that utilizes the amazing balistic capabilities of looters? maybe a cannon that shoots looters who throw rocks

Attached: 47da3087cdcadaf522431dd8781aa4dd.jpg (1280x800, 480.48K)

It always was in warband too.
The levelling rates thing was a good idea, but it doesn't seem to make much of a difference in practice.

Same but the combat got worse.

>my charm won't go up
/r/me_irl

>Tournaments aren't a piss-easy way to cheese the entire early game anymore
git gud

Same happened to me. The Wolfskins declared war on me while I was only trading in the desert.

>Thinks it takes a split second to forge an entire armory's worth of weapons and armor that society's elites would entrust their lives with.

>Skill tree system is mechanically more complex
It is but the current iteration is poorly inplemented and needs rebalancing before I'd prefer it to warbands system.
On that now do you guys think the skill system will be easily moddable? It would be cool as fuck to have custom skills for different overhaul mods, even faction/race specific skills for fantasy settings like warhammer.

I know you can play as a loli so I'm already sold on it.
>Mod in console commands
>Lock in age slider
>Change your age to 30 whenever you want to apply points, apply them, then revert your age back
>Fight as a cute warrior loli using purely native resources

When will they fix the fucking memory leak.

You wouldn't know.

Attached: 1398725695931.png (574x511, 112.9K)

Because a true Mount & Blade player will always run to engage Sea Raiders on sight.

Wow this definitely isn't a shill post.

Imagine wanting to have to rest and pause to make charcoal and melt down iron. You can do that, thankfully I have mods.

How come my client ain't updated?

I've found the opposite. My companions skills have gone up by about 5 in as many hours.

Just use your companions to make charcoal while you do the big stuff.

There are so many shills on this game right now normies are just praising it like it's a masterpiece

pic related.

Attached: Screenshot_2.jpg (862x488, 73.7K)

WHAT DID YOU DO?

Attached: 1559390861538.jpg (1080x964, 207.49K)

>doing things takes time what the fuck
Okay

so is it true you cant rule your own kingdom?

Well, at least we can say this.
It's one of the only series on the market at the moment that didn't significantly dumb down, casualize, and remove player agency from it's sequels to 'appeal to a broader audience'.

Flaws and all, I appreciate that, at the very least, it's kept the core gameplay intact and hasn't removed features, dumbed it down, or tried to make itself more 'cinematic' or 'narrative driven'. That's more than I can say for the vast majority of series I used to love.

I haven't played it yet, but post shit you want in mods.
>one story, fully written, from each town, which you can learn and get better at telling, and which can be told to any named characters, with your skill and their personality influencing their opinions
>plays being put on in towns, with famous playwrights you can meet
>festivals based upon holidays, each town having a few unique ones, each kingdom having a few, and each village having some generic ones, like harvest festivals
>fucking seasons

>it's being shilled
>people love it
Pick one, fool.

>Patches will fix it is NEVER an acceptable excuse.
Except it is. How the fuck else would they fix things if not by patches? It's a game in development, if people don't want that they can just not fucking buy it and wait until it's done. It's not that hard.

And especially for people with no M&B experience, they haven't waited for 8+ years, so why can't they wait until it's done?

that bottom left e1.0.0 refers to native, which doesn't change

I didn't do anything! I was just trading and this guy a thousand miles away just decided he didn't like my ass. That's okay, I found his ass and took him out.

Then why the fuck did people develop bow and arrows, javelins or slings if you just simply chug a rock to a cunts brain. You're really daft mate

I don't understand what they did in 7 years to be honest

the quests from other people were literally worthless in Warband

I love all the people whining about how hard the game is on the steam forums. Schadenfreude is a wonderful thing.

restarted twice

A very simple answer to this problem would simply be to make smithing something cause time to pass.
OFC then you guys would be complaining that 'What the fuck, I just stopped to smith 400 pieces of iron and suddenly my whole kingdom got wiped while I was smelting instead of paying attention.'

There already are seasons. Think about it.

DO I HAVE TO START A NEW CAMPAIGN AFTER EVERY PATCH?

nah

shilling isn't just when someone likes a game, retard

>>plays being put on in towns, with famous playwrights you can meet
>>festivals based upon holidays, each town having a few unique ones, each kingdom having a few, and each village having some generic ones, like harvest festivals
>>fucking seasons
seasons are in it already but those other ones are great ideas
would love to see an ongoing play in towns

Why do you think? Because of horses. People on horses are harder to hit with thrown objects like stones, because the rider is both moving quickly and moving up and down. This makes it almost impossible to throw a stone at them. So people made faster projectiles like slings, bows, and atlatls.

Did your save get corrupted? Yes? Either start a new campaign or wait for your save to get uncorrupted in a future patch?

NOOOO ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE THIS
I PAID 50 DOLLARS BUT PIRATES GET IT FOR FREE WITH CONSTANT UPDATES????????

>both "use longbows on horseback" perks are broken and dont work
>only 1 longbow is better than the steppe warbow anyway
>said longbow isnt even sold unless you use a mod

this game really feels like it was never played at all by the turks

Attached: 1581737382235.gif (379x440, 139.88K)

only YOUR side uses AI though, the enemy all still rush headfirst into your spears/arrows/whatever. It sort of makes your AI cavs flank to one side feel pointless. Although with how quickly arrows take down 300hp horses I suppose it's nice to not just get sniped.

The client is at 1.0.0, their changes have been to the core modules which have the content and most of the game in them

No, but it's the safe way to go. Some of the changes between each patch are so deep that you can't be sure a previous save will work correctly.

Attached: OUd-a6f8eV0kyeSjUxLx0cpsbpLZV5YVVEKcwXdnp1c.jpg (1600x1200, 508.21K)

cool thank you

that wasnt the question

Simplest answer is just letting you buy a forge and fill it with employees to cut down on time and waiting. Also that complaint is very valid when it takes one AI faction around 100 days to basically win the game.

By that I mean, a game should be judged on it's present condition, not on the promise of more content down the line. I'm not talking about patches fixing bugs, I'm making the case that it's a pretty shitty business practice to sell people the promise of features that do not currently exist in the game and that you may or may not actually implement. And I'm not talking about Bannerlord itself, it's more the principle of the matter.

>hating on telltale
Make your own game, fuckass then.

Post your character skill page, I guarantee you've fucked it up.

It is when they don't acknowledge any issues or lack of actual features

>Influence is a new resource and allows you to do things you either couldn't do in Warband
b-but i-i-it's just like my favorite Warband mod!
It's n-nothing new!

I'm kind of new to the game. I can raise charm pretty quick by releasing lords over and over again. Sure they come back but that just means you can keep doing it to raise charm even faster.

Agreed, but that's a separate problem from smithing.

It's no secret that they focused heavily on multiplayer before singleplayer. Mostly because the MP community is whiny and annoying as fuck. Why do you think the closed betas was only for multiplayer?
They wanted that done so they could devote their attention to singleplayer which by their own admission was something like 20% done.

>seasons are in it already but those other ones are great ideas
Excellent. Is there a better-defined year system in general?

how? i literally told you to do so if you have a corrupted save

>By that I mean, a game should be judged on it's present condition
Not when it's early access.
Because that would be moronic. You're beta testing.
If you expect a beta to be a complete game that needs no further attention your brain is too smooth for this game and you should wait until it's actually done.

>multiplayer
Who even put multiplayer in this game in the first place? How does a game like this even benefit from multiplayer? Who would play multiplayer in a game like this anyway? What the FUCK KIND OF people would even wanna do that?

What the ever living fuck does telltale have to do with this...

Attached: dragon pepe.jpg (832x690, 64.1K)

the half of the playerbase currently playing fun as fuck sieges.
What sort of dipshit buys a game and doesn't play a part of it? custom servers like crpg are no doubt gonna show up in the future too.

When an update is released and you load an old save it asks if you want to load the new modules, those new modules are the update files. Hit yes, tadaa, your save works perfectly.

They have said they do not want to do anything which will force people to lose their saves, but if they absolutely have to they will. I dont imagine you will lose your save to a reset, but you might want to restart anyway because bugs can cause massive issues across your save file that persist even with updates.

Everyone with a launch save for example will have millions in gold sitting on random lords because of that wood shop bug.

People who have fun?

Multiplayer is excellent you faggot retard, they just need some kind of 1v1 mode

Item crafting shouldn't even be in a Mount & Blade game.

Braindead normalfags who need muh competition

M&B multiplayer is usually shit, but there are moments of joy. Vikings AI wave defense mode was amazing, and Napoleons Captains mode was great fun. Nothing in Bannerlord really comes close, its too unbalanced and clunky.

A LOT of people. A shit-ton. I don't understand it either but Warband to this day has a ton of servers with dozens, up to hundreds of players.
I played some Napoleon as part of guild for a while and it was fun enough, but the wider appeal is lost on me.

But the MP community is just far more vocal and constantly up TaleWorlds asses, so they wanted to get that done first of all.

Is there any reason to create multiple parties for your clan, other than intentionally wanting to lose money because you have a findom fetish or something?

Multiplayer is missing so many basic features and a good map list, im tired of the 2 100 player tdm matches with cavalry and archers killing you every second, multiplayer feels less complete than singleplayer and dont forget the search times, 10 minutes once I had to wait to get in a game.

I hope they expand it so you can make armor

piratechads, i get crashes whenever i try to load/start new campaign after applying any patch other then 1.0.0 hotfix from rin, how do i fix this or do i have to play 1.0.0

Fuck eceleb zoomers. *dabs*

Hear hear.

>Is there any reason to create multiple parties for your clan
Protecting your lands so you dont have to do it. You should be making so much money by the time you get a fief that army upkeep is irrelevant.

>Everyone with a launch save for example will have millions in gold sitting on random lords because of that wood shop bug.
That's a feature that they removed IMO

god fuck no.
>both chars get bow
>cue awkward counter strike strafing as you try to dome the other person because the first person to run up to the other gets headshot

>or tried to make itself more 'cinematic' or 'narrative driven'.
It has cutscenes, a main quest line and voiced dialogue

But I get your point

You can summon them to your army for free, no influence cost, and those parties will also eventually start making money on their own as well. You really should make them asap so your companions start getting those stat growths, too.

So what faction is everyone rolling with? From some story time posts I've read on the previous threads, everyone seems to go with Empire because the leader is a woman and they want to fuck her daughter so they become royalty.
Also which one has the OP troops like Swadian Knights like in Warband?

The ability to custom-make your own weapon design is probably a welcome addition for HMA buffs.

There is a 1.0.2 torrent up on rin.ru that will automatically update with the necessary files for previous versions when you recheck. However, it will set you back to 75% and torrent is SLOW AS FUCK. I almost wish I hadn't updated.

get dodi's repack and then shove all the updates and hotfixes in

Why is the only crossbow I can find 20,000 gold and a piece of shit? Did they just not implement them yet?

Attached: 092f848b6959e890337050846b517377.jpg (500x634, 52.13K)

You know what makes me laugh very much biggest?
Streamers, e-celebs and other faggots crying that it's "unacceptable" that their games flaked out due to bugs. "MUH VIEWS" they cry. "DIS REFLECTS POORLY ON YOUR GAME I WAS USING TO MAKE MONEY" they shriek. "IT'S FREE ADVERTISING YOU NEVER ASKED FOR" they yell, while demanding that devs prioritize whatever bug they're seeing so they can continue to stream da popular gaem.
