Game was fun. I’m not going out of my way to write a review that says that and I also don’t give a shit if nioh 2 comes to pc. Buy a ps4 and stop being so poor and bitchy.

Thanks to regional pricing the PC version is way cheaper (I paid the equivalent to US$15) so basically four or five PC copies count a much as a single PS4 copy so numbers.
Add to that how around the time Koei Tecmo celebrated Nioh reaching 2 million copies it was also revealed that PC only accounts for 500k of those sales.

I'm lucky and only had a few crashes in ~50 hours. But the port and translation are not great to put it lightly.

Nioh has some great game design decisions coupled with utter shit design decisions. It's both a fantastic and disgusting game at once.

It was very playable. Only crashed on me once in 72 hours of play. Solid framerate.

Honestly? Because it's a shit port. K+M barely works, and most pc gamers don't have a controller lying around. I mean, everything in the game is PS controller mapped, like 90% of all ported jap games. That alone is a turn off.

I'm not talking about framerate issues, there were almost no video options at all and M+KB support almost non existent

The only reason Nioh 1 sold as much as it did was Dark Souls fans expecting it to be a "rainy day" Souls in the middle of a drought. Now that they know better, they ignored the sequel.

Add to that how Sekiro was released this year, pretty much fulfilling the "Samurai Souls" niche and making the Nioh franchise obsolete.

I don't care if controllers are cheap or not. I have PS4 and PS4 controllers where I can play EPIC cinematic games as much as I want, but I grew up on PC and over 20 years of gameplay with mouse and keyboard will never be replaced by controller and if I could play all PC souls game on M+KB there's no reason why I couldn't play Ni-Oh just the same. The developers were lazy.

I bought it and it fucking sucks. I can get passed the mission based structure and combat is fun but holy shit there's only like 4 or 5 different enemy types. What good is fun combat if you're fighting the same 4 or 5 enemies over and over and over? And on top of that, they even re-use areas over and over. It feels like one of those $10 PS2 budget titles.

2 is going to come to pc they just don't want to fuck the port up. It costs next to nothing to port it compared to the sales it would make over a long period of time, Piracy or not it will move units and as a bonus more people will end up buying the first one as well since that happens with other games as well.

I grew up on console and pc. There's some games I prefer with controller, some I prefer with keyboard and mouse. Adapting isn't hard. Being needlessly upset over something you don't have to worry about by just plugging in a controller seems pretty meaningless to me. If we're going to use years as a metric, I too have been gaming for over 20 years.
