Animal Crossing: New Horizons thread

Post tips & things youve found.

-when you go to randomized isles, dig up the entire non-native trees, allows 4 new trees at the mainland instead of 3.

-you do not need 9 villagers for mable to decide to build able sisters, the bare requirement appears to be having the 1st campsite vistor move in.

-Amiibo villagers are summoned from the nook inc. ATM thing, and they will appear instantly at the campsite when summoned. The cherry posters ripped amiibo files work flawlessly.

-It seems that roughly 4:45pm-6:45pm is the best time for shark shadows in the ocean, aswell as beetles on the palm trees, but I keep running straight passed the trees so I cant say if theyre any good.

-Ive buried a standard shovel in the golden hole today, we'll see what happens
>Going backwards in time still progresses villagers aswell as flora (maybe)

Money trees can be dug up and relocated as saplings, and using stamina to dig an adult also works & retains the moneybags

I feel left out because I've barely had the motivation to touch my game in the last 2 days meanwhile people already have nice houses

i love stacking the black fish tanks on top of each other. i wish you could make a wall of them in your house, would be a 10/10 room that's how i learned you can their light on

And when do you get the ability to use amiibo cards on the nook atm?

how do I get photos off my switch? I got it for this game
I want to show off my "waiting for blathers" pile

make a throwaway twitter account, set it to private if you don't want twitterfags seeing you

After the first campsite villager moves in, this villager is forced upon you and cannot be removed from the campsite by any other means

Are you seriously saying the very first campsite villager can and will never leave?

sounds easy enough

After the first 3 villager plots (the ones you have to furnish) are made, and the 1st campsite villager moves in, you can FINALLY allocate land for new villagers, this land reverts back to the standard size.

I got merengue and I time travelled for an entire week trying to get her to leave, ended up just putting her house out in bumfuck nowhere.

The standard campsite time is 1 day

Facebook works too and you can just set the pictures to be viewable to only you.

Spamming the A button makes the crafting animation significantly faster.

Currently working on getting an amiibo villager to move in, theyre asking for crafted furniture which would suggest you need to make a certain amount before they decide to move in

OP here, Burying the shovel in the golden hole for 24hrs did nothing

get a cheap 32gb sd card for like 5 buckaroos and you can transfer all photos and videos off internal memory. then just stick it in your pc.

Right there with you, it looks really good. For the first time in playing animal crossing, I want to dedicate a part of a room to fish because of how nice the tanks look. The "large fishl" enclosures are neat too, though not good for displaying in your home

Why does the goldfish bowl look so weirdly thick though? Not a fan of that.

I need a non-cherry place to hock produce for bells

Have apples, will travel.

found a rainy large pond island, finally managed to fish one of these bad boys up, as well as a good number of koi

How much do Koi sell for?

Alright, so now that it's the second day I can FINALLY invite people to my island. Here is the dodo code. YOU GONNA GET COMFY.

Come visit me on Windfall Island! I have no friends ;~;

I figured people would have figured this out by accident but yeah that's a nice tip.

That's a little annoying but I guess I'll just deal with it.

4k each, not as much as tarantulas, but much safer

Do you need apples?

I mean, I don't think I NEED them? My island has pears, but I don't mind having apples I guess.

dom is cool but his shirt is gay

Do you guys make wishes at every shooting star you hear/see?

I did and in the morning a bunch of star crap washed up on my beach

there are nook mile rewards for making wishes

Why can't you change the name of your island?

foreign fruits are more valuable and theres a nook miles thing for planting one of each type.

Ah, cool. Didn't know that.

I just started playing today and I don't know. I've been playing AC since the Gamecube and.. I don't know if the gimmick is just old now or what, but I feel underwhelmed so far by New Horizons. The start is really slow and there's only 3 villagers in an ugly small map with nothing to do besides fish and catch bugs. Should I be patient and wait for more things to unlock or just refund my money now?

Can you go on remote islands with friends playing online?

get your Nooks cranny built and then decide
the map isn't small you just can't access most of it to start.

wow I didn't know Yas Forums had so many girl gamers can you all post pictures of your bobs?

Time travel to the following day after you've wrung each day completely dry of content. I also agree that the start is incredibly slow, you don't even get hourly music until after a week or something.

There's not more than 4 playable hours day one.

Bro your island has got like 6 or 7 people on it now

I know ;~:

It's a bit overwhelming I have nothing to entertain them with since I just started yesterday, and I have no cool memes or artwork and stuff to show off. I'm so embarrassed.

>exit house
>run to shop to sell stuff
>suddenly tarantula chasing me
>mfw
>had my bug met out already thankfully
>manage to turn around and swing fast enough to catch it

good shit

How do you access the upper levels of the island?

Thanks for the suggestions. I figured the rest of the map would be unlocked later but I'm a little frustrated by how little content is available immediately. The other games had more stuff off the bat. Anyways, I don't like time-travelling so I'll just wait it out.

>soft wood
>hard wood
>wood
why?

you get an item on day 3

Progress the story to the point that Nook asks you to build a bridge and some residencies, you get the blueprint for the ladder because you need flowers to complete the task and they grow up on the cliffs.

you get the ladder the day after you convince other animals to move in

is it possible to turn off the wacky voices? Its driving me crazy

Asking those who found Wisp. Is it rng whether or not you get him or because I started on the morning of launch I have to wait an extra day (my day 3), after Gulliver leaves.

That includes coconuts right?

Show us your micropenis

My uncle works at nintendo and approves this message.

I've found it two days in a row. Think it is random

I can't get local multiplayer to work
Can't get online to work either, but that's is because my NAT type is F.
Anybody have any ideas what I can do? I wanna play with my friends

Did you all fuck?

I can't progress in this game because I keep making new patterns.

Should I get this? Loved the original but couldn't get into New Leaf.

LET ME IN AHHHH

So, do the villages have good amount of personality and dialogue?

>tfw too shit to design

Someone post their Dodo code

I'm trying to scan QRs using the Nintendo app but literally nothing happens, like it doesn't notice the QR code in the camera. What gives?
