Teraflops are in no way indicative of actual gaming performance.
Case in point: AMD's Vega 64 outclasses all of Nvidia's GPUs besides the 2080ti in terms of theoretical computer performance. But, it is a far, far cry from even matching last gen's performance from Nvidia.
