why would someone mod that in

The chick? The Zone is bound to bring in a few crazy woman. It's more realistic.

Coom

Nobody? I'll go first.
I want more specific artifacts like Compass that have heavy penalties but interesting effects. Effects like immunity to fire like in SoC, higher jumping, faster crouch movement, first bullet shield. Something that changes the way you play so that not all playthroughs are the same.

It would be cool if you were able to fight for any faction and let that change the outcome of the game etc. I know they did this for Clear Sky but even then it didn't really apply to every faction and for the ones that it did you couldn't even fully eliminate the other factions.

Doesn't CoC do this? I haven't tried it yet.

nice Idea
I would like to get more Sidequests and more Exploration.
but in the End there will be no next Stalker Game

Co-op story midr. I heard they are planning to introduce it, if they introduce co-op in the first place.
Bigger and more detailed Zone, for sure.
Faction wars that decide the outcome of the game, depending on which faction you side with.
And maybe, some form of multiplayer, like CS' arena TDM.

more vodka

Does Escape from Tarkov count as multiplayer?

Anomalies that are more than just 'lol evade this easily visible air deformation'
More lore friendly mutants (no weird walking trees)
Stalkers, especially Loners, behaving more like individuals and treating you better or worse depending On your rank and reputation
Coop MP
Faction wars realised in the way they wanted to do it in 2003 (faction civil wars if leader was killed, provocations, skirmishes etc.)
True Alife

I'd really just like a much larger map and more atmospheric areas, I think my favorite experience of the whole series was getting killed by a bloodsucker in the Red Forest in clear Sky, genuinely nearly gave me a fucking heart attack, pitch dark heard its cry and just ran as fast as I could, stopped then spun around with a light to see it and couldn't see anything anymore carried on walking assuming I'd passed it and it sprung out with no warning in front of me a killed me, was amazing I nearly jumped out of my fucking skin.

I don't really care for the story in the games either, just more of a focus on survival and artifact hunting though an unforgiving highlight detailed hazerdous world, being able to go back to CCNP would be cool too, I hate how most of the games lock you into the final quest with no warning and you just can't get back to do more stalkin.

>Stalkers, especially Loners, behaving more like individuals and treating you better or worse depending on your rank and reputation
That reminds me, why didn't anything happen when I got to the top of the leader board in SoC? No one even said anything.

crafting, base building, hunger/thirst penalties, pvp, skins, and narrative driven

Also Clear Sky was garbage, but the new areas the game added were great, especially the swamps, the pump station at night was super fucking comfy.

tarkov's gunporn
The best thing for me in stalkers was prepping up in skadovsk or bar for the trip.

I want to have feature that it gets released on PS5

Is that Kenny's fat wife from The Walking Dead Telltale game?

Is the sequel just doomed to never meet the expectations of it's predecessors?

red forest in CS is one of my favorite areas, the forest area itself isnt all that big, but the threat of the bloodsucker made it seem daunting my first playthrough. i always made sure to bring a shotty with plenty of ammo

i hope the new game gives me more of that feeling of dread when going into areas and hoping i brought along the right equipment. CoP especially felt too safe just walking around

game starts at the sealing of npp under the new shelter, everyone getting ready to pack it up and go home but then something goes horribly wrong again flash forward a couple of years and its essentially SOC soft reboot with just more more more of everything. the npp interiors are even more detailed with more rooms underground to explore. pick whatever factions you want or stay a loner. start you own little bar/shelter town and welcome/deny your choice of factions who have different pros and cons. more x labs. blowouts are even more crazy. fully moddable from day 1.

a massively revamped PDA system that has a lot more stats for every NPC in the zone
ability to temporarily or permanently remove your tracker in your PDA to go dark and kill other NPCs without it being traced to you
NPCs with dynamics between each other including brotherhoods, friendships, relationships, rivalries, hates and all that shit
more radiant missions based on in game a-life, duty member kills a freedom member, his brother puts a hit out on said duty member almost spontaneously and other NPCs or the player can attempt to collect on it
organic and random and proceedural
anomalies that move but are restricted to various phenomena - you wont find electrical anomalies in the middle of an inert field for example
more options for what you do, for role play, including running goods from the zones border and corrupt military into the various camps around the zone, rather than you just being forced to be a mercenary, assassin, artifact hunter and arms dealer
much more fleshed out wound system, the game already plays perfect when a headshot is a kill on you and you can't take more than a few FMJ hits even in exoskeletons and combat gear, i want something like MGS3 where you take damage locationally and it directly effects your abilities and capabilities
women? maybe - but no stronk wammen and used in realistic circumstances only

Don't know if you can call this a "feature" but ideally I'd like the game to start you off as a someone trying to sneak into the zone. Like each game always sort of spawns you into the zone but I think it would be cool to at least see the outside world before moving inside.

I want them to rip off the Gunslinger mod's features like the 3D PDA, laser sights, dual sights, exosuit animations, consumable animations, misfire animations, etc.

real talk: are any of the original devs even at gsc anymore? im not sure if any new games will even by people who understand what made soc so good and it will just end up some shitty borderlands style game.

Proper modding tools and a manager.

i would take more focus on maps and atmosphere over focus on items and gun porn etc

This has been said many times before but, know that every STALKER game had a mostly different development team. And some of those guys went on to found Vostok Games and developed Survarium so just because they are original STALKER devs, doesn't mean they can't make garbage.

>What feature or changes do you want the next Stalker game to include?
A lot of them. I would genuinely want the next Stalker game to completely change direction, arguably even genre all together.

Make it a survival horror sandbox, with far, far less emphasis on combat, smaller but more tightly designed environment, and where landscape navigation actually presents the biggest challenge of all.

Think of it as Pathologic meets Subnautica, except in the Stalker settings.

Focus quantity over quality, and day-to-day survival over shooting. Guns should be rare, exceptionally valuable, and extremely risky. Anomalies should be the ABSOLUTE key, and the way they should be integrated into the environment, and the way they generate artifacts should be what gives the game most of the gameplay and progression.

Survival systems should be massively revamped. With food, water and shelter being far more difficult to atain. Whole new systems of status effects should come with the oddities of the Zone. Anomalies that mess with your mind, anomalies that mess with your body.

The root of the game should be about the player slowly, gradually learning how to eak some meagre living while slowly memorizing safe passages through the extremely unpredictable environments. Throw away the factions, instead focus on a handful of well crafted characters. Make gunplay a desperation measure, not the bread and butter of the game. Every spare second of time working on the game should be instead invested into the Zone itself: more anomalies, more unique anomalies, and more tightly designed world.

Stalker should not be a shooter with a fancy settings. It should be Pathologic with Stalker environments and much more content.

Again, Sandbox and Survival games has made MAJOR strides since the time original Stalker was released. We now know how to make those things interesting and fun and challenging without becoming dull and repetetive.
That is what Stalker always should have been.

I started playing Stalker for the first time a week ago and I feel like I don't get it. When I do missions I have to run all the way back to the guy for my reward which is tedious as fuck. Exploring the map is pointless because you can't really carry much loot. Am I supposed to only do the main missions? How do I play this game??

It's not a looting game. You will get enough money from doing quests. You don't have to get the reward right away, find a side quests that takes you near there. Travel becomes less tedious in the 3rd game with the addition of paid fast travel.

this is always what i thought. I want to sneak into zone from the outside like in the book/movie. though i guess it is hard (and costly) to do and hard to fit into the game loop.

I want the actual zone itself to be more difficult, you're always a god despite hearing how bad it's supposed to be. Hunger/Morale/Sanity and make it so depending on your experience rank those stats decrease faster if you're alone so you have to actually buddy up and hang out at camps and shit. Weight should be extremely limited so you aren't just hoarding a fight scene's loot to sell rendering the idea of selling artifacts totally pointless. Would be neat if blood suckers and the like actually kill in 1-2 hits and they add a dodge or roll for the player or something to compensate them sprinting straight at you and tanking your rifle.
Basically the way the series is makes it feel like you're just supposed to loot everything in sight and sprint and gun every mutant and only explore anomalies for fun rather than necessity and riches. Only janky humans made the series difficult

what a borefest would that be. go play some minecraft you faggot

Female Stalkers, for a start. I basically want a polished version of Clear Sky.

But it says I have one day left. Is that just to do the mission? I assumed I wouldn't get shit if I missed that deadline.

Are you using the recommended patch? It should add a few days to the time limit. If not, just use the modifier and make it as long as you want.
Main quests are un-timed but you should visit Guide as soon as you can.

Chernobylite might be up your alley.

>day-to-day survival
>With food, water and shelter being far more difficult to atain
no thanks

You are the reason why the industry is in such deep shit. Literally: you embody everything wrong with the industry.

I've looked into it but it felt rather cheap and definitely unfinished, but I do have it on my radar.

sounds like it would lack replayability
sounds like it would be a movie puzzle game
sounds like the only stalker you've ever experienced is someones Misery LP

is that that game with crafting
you scan a massive variety of objects that boil down to green crafting material, red crafting material, blue crafting material, zzzzzzzzzz
then you make healing kits ammo and explosives on the spot, as well as quest items

>I've looked into it but it felt rather cheap and definitely unfinished, but I do have it on my radar.
Yea, it's definitely a work in progress. Whether it turns out fantastic or falls apart will be decided over the next few months.

>Also Clear Sky was garbage
Clear Sky was great. The only flaws were 1) the new faction war system was kind of stupid and pointless and 2) the bandit robbery was super gay. As good as Shadow and much better than Call.

>sounds like it would lack replayability
A sandbox would lack replayability?
A SANDBOX SOUNDS LIKE A MOVIE GAME?!

Are you people clinically, certifiably mentally damaged?

I even forgot Stalker 2 was announced
It's 100% vaporware now isn't it?

go hike in the forest if you want a day to day survival you jerkoff

GSC planned this for early soc and S2

From what I've seen, it did not feel like they nailed the atmosphere down. Too much darkness and glowing shit. What made Stalker so memorable (both as a movie and a game) was how mundane the world looked and how dangerious it in reality was. Cherobilite felt like it completely failed to understand the melancholic, and subtle aspect of it, which was vital to the atmosphere.

I don't know but it better have random events throughout the game where the character loses all his money. Do you guys think that would be a good idea I don't know I just think that would be funny they should put that in I think.

>It's 100% vaporware now isn't it?
It was only announced last year. The original was delayed for like 5 years.

Go play a COD if you want more fucking dull brain-dead shooting, you fucking mongoloids.
Seriously: your generation is the worst thing that has ever happend to the industry, and quite likely, the world.

Any Stalker veterans around? I'm modding CoC and don't know what I'm doing. Are any of these incompatible or just shit?

Attached: CoC mods.jpg (709x503, 125.21K)

hahaha bro chill just realize combat is what made Stalker worth playing hahaha lmao ayy bro chill.

Doubt it, the entire 2021 riddle was finished a few weeks ago
I just think that GSC is trying to avoid an oblivion lost kind of situation again where they promise and plan all those features but dont implenent them or cut em out

how many times can you mantle over the same rock or climb the same building before you get bored of it
your "tightly designed movement" wouldn't lead to anything but modern tomb raider shit where every sequence is scripted and crafted so there's only one route to take, they can make it look nice like prince of persia did but the end result is the same, you're just playing a platformer without any freedom of choice
a smaller environment would only excacerbate these issues when there's only a handful of places worth visiting and the rest is just corridors between places to get the good shit
if you want a camping simulator, go and play dayz in solo and see how fun it is because that's basically all you'll be getting

Is that the fucking mom from TWD game?

The fact that you have never played other games than modern Tombrider and Uncharted does not mean there are not other types of games, you mongoloid.
Again. The worst. Fucking. Generation. Ever.

>she faked her suicide
Absolute crazy bitch

the idea of sitting inside some rusty tub for an hour listening to an emission going off while starving to death is exactly my kind of game user
you're straddling the fine line between fun gameplay and "some pseudointellectual faggots projected desire to live out their personal innawoods fantasy"
