Yes and under socialism it's normal to see breadlines because the government shot all the local farmers, for every service to be as efficient as the DMV and if you don't show up for work tomorrow at your useless government mandated wagie job you'll be dragged off and shot too. If we were more capitalistic we wouldn't have property taxes and thus no one would be kicked out of their house because they would actually own it and not have to pay government mandated rent.

Someone needs to be paid to provide food, housing, and medical care. They literally cannot be free. I do think such things should be socialised for emergencies, but the use should be heavily disincentivised.
