I think pretty much the entire existence of Taiwan is built on that principle.
There are no real "embassies" from other countries there because there are like 7 countries in the whole world that recognise Taiwan's independence (and they're all irrelevant shitholes), but a whole lot of other organisations that act as de-facto embassies.

Yes, because whole existence of Pili relies on mainland bucks, and now they basically have no source of income. Even TBF made money mostly by selling rights to youku and bilibili from what I've heard from my taiwanese friend. Li Bai show is cancelled 2 weeks before airing and 2000+ hours of Pili is wiped from chinese streaming services.
